What time is it?

Zero amount of time. I'm not an alcoholic nor a drunk. I had my first drink when I was 23, five years ago. On average I drink one night a week, Friday night. (I just took a week off from work. I drank three times in those five days, one of which was a margarita on my 9 year wedding anniversary.)

Not everyone who drinks turns into a drunk. The key I have found is called self control. I don't drink until I passout on the floor. I don't drink until the bottles are empty. I don't drink until I puke. I drink a few shots one or at most two times a week. As studies have shown, you can drink a glass of wine EVERY DAY to promote heart health. Are these people drunks because they drink EVERY DAY?!?!? Admitting that you have a problem is the first step, but you have to have a problem to admit something.

i would say pretty much since age 16, i am now 52 and have not drank for 3plus yrs now. did not quit because i was in any trouble with the law or anything, i just got good and sick of it. drinking has brought much sorrow and problems for so many years. i prayed many years to have god help me quit, and when i finally made up my mind, i quit and didnt have any problem at all. my life now is just wonderful. i cant believe i wasted all those years thinking i had to have a drink in my hand pretty much as soon as i was home from work. it cost me 3 marriages, an upset family and too many numerous things to even mention. life is a whole lot better now. never will drink again, dont need it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have NEVER been alcoholic. I also never want to be so from now on.
I rarely drink alcohol and have drunk alcohol only twice since I reached the alcohol-eligible age!

oh....I would have to say a good ten years or so. I would also like to thank you for bringing my problems to light....all hail my savior.

Only one problem here though......my momma didn't raise no quitter.

actually....I'm not an alcoholic.....they go to meetings and that would severely cut down on my time to drink.

Can't remember. Don't they say alcohol affects memory ? Not that I'd know as my memory isn't very good. However I do have this beer mat in front of me that says "alcohol can affect memory"
