He wants to be like gregory rabbit, (a myspace star) but he's 12, TWELVE. He thinks it's expressing his individuality, but I cant convince him he needs to dress how he wants not how scene queens do.

WTF. hell no!! what is he thinking?? get a different scene cut. not COON TAILS omg that is sooo fxcking stupiddd. seriously, if you want a feminine look, dye it black with pink tips. (thats what i did) or just get it cut a different way, like oli sykes' hair. he's pretty damn hxc.

He's "expressing his individuality" by copying someone else? Sounds like his logic is screwed. I think coon tails look disgusting on everyone, let alone twelve year old boys, tell him to shut up. There are OTHER ways to be original.

Why not? It's only hair. If he doesn't like it, he can have it cut off or dyed. It'll grow out eventually. It's not like it's a tattoo, which is more or less permanent. It's a lot easier to recover from a bad haircut than a bad (or even a good) tattoo.

Is this some type of a redneck hairstyle? OR does he have these very strong feminine traits.

While not the social standard, he is welcome to
have any hairstyle his parental units deem appropriate.
