What does one have to do with the other? According to your statement, accepting donations is a bad thing, not a good thing. So, you are also saying that anyone that accpts donations are bad. Churches accept donations because they have bills to pay just like everyone else does. How do you think churches are run? God provides for His churches through His people. There is nothing negative or bad about that.

what does God being all-good have to do with giving donations???
The bible teaches us to do good things to honor Christ, and giving donations and tithing to the church is a good deed that honors the Lord.
Though it is a church, it is still a building, and every building has bills that need to be paid. And so we can continue to worship and fellowship with other Christians in the house of the Lord, we need to donate what we can so that the church can continue to operate, just like everything else the church needs money.
Hope this answers your question even though God being all-good has absolutley nothing to do with why we donate to the church.

God says in the Bible in the Old Testament to give money for tithing. God's Pastors need the money to help people buy Bibles, and to pay bills of the church, etc.
God is the most perfect spirit of the Universe. God is trying to teach us it is better to give than receive. Jesus was given to us by Him because there was no other way to help humanity out of their sins. Each human wanting to live according to God's will can and will get rewarded. Everything God does is for a reason and for the common good. Once you give the money you are not supposed to hold a grudge because if you do then God can't bless your giving. Give it with a willful heart and be glad God's people can use the money you gave to God!!

You are on a roll today! Churches accept donations to provide for their communities. Churches provide weekly feedings, homeless gift baskets, childrens' field trips, summer camps, shelters, etc. These events must be funded somehow. Also, ministers aren't paid nearly of what they deserve (not speaking of the mega churches with 3000 members). God is all-good, and is revealed everyday when we help our fellow human being, including and not only through donations.

Don't you think a church has bills to pay? Also, donations are part of a persons desire to go beyond their tithing. Donations help people in the area and in the congregations.
Wait, what am I trying to explain this to you for? You don't even(supposedly)believe there is a God so what do you care?
God Bless you and guide you into His Truth.

The donations your talking about are called tithe's and they are demanded by the Lord
Mallchi 3:8-15 Will a man rob God ? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, HOW have we robbed You! in tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you,,Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse(churches) so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this says the Lord of host,if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pure out for you t a blessing until it overflows
God blesses those who bless this word he gives,,,this ruling is not man made but God directed,,you make the choice to follow it or not..

The Churches accept donations to be used to maintain the buildings and to help needy, to pay for literature , to house and provide for the clergy , regardless of faith be that of a catholic priest , a Protestant minster or that of a Buddhist monk. The church itself is not a building but a group of people who gather to worship and observe their faith .
You claim to be an atheist but are you truly , stop and think the alpha and the omega where did it all start science can not clearly come up with an answer . I put my Faith in God

donations to churches are not a bad thing. when churches accept donations, they usually use it to help missionaries and poor people and people that just need to hear the good news. the churches that pocket those donations are perverted.

ok for the longest time i thought this was a joke you know cus why do they always ask for money. but the truth is that the world works on money they have to pay for the electric and gas and water that is used in the church and pastors have to be able to live on something especialy sense most of them put alot of time into studying. i am not religious at all but i still have respect for the people that do it they have alot of heart. i will admit tho there are some shady churches out there that want money
