That's is alright to say it solely belongs to you, but you don't lay down the rules as this is reserved for yahoo Q&A's to monitor the input of questions and answers.

So lets say you post a question and everyone says that is alright and they go on too another question and the same thing happens again. This means that the questions are not challenged nor are they answered by the challenge.

So albeit then as an Atheist today I have answered your question. Then what happens tomorrow when I might just be the Agnostic and the next day the Protestent and so on and on I could go.

When it comes down to it, who really knows who is a Christion or not.

I have posted a question about how many different Mary's are mentioned in the Bible it may be good for you to look for that question and see if you can get it right.

So that we'll always have a handy reason to drink whatever beverage we've got handy, that's why. Happy now?

You don't have to believe in anybody's gods or follow their religion to be a spiritual person. This is Religion *AND* Spirituality, dontchaknow.

Personally, I'm glad this area isn't portioned off into individual beliefs - how ridiculous would that be? You'd have to have a sub-section for every denomination of xtianity, islam, hinduism - it'd be a full time job just to make sure nobody's belief system got left out. Far better to have one category, and let everybody share....keeps things far more interesting, too! Besides, I suspect the Atheism section would very quickly fill up with the various fundies declaring our hell-boundedness and their religious superiority and how we must be saved etc etc ad nauseam.

3. Why can't you put the S on the end of Atheist. It's not like "fish", the plural is not the same as the singular, idiot.

4. And why can't I come to the religion and spirituality section just because I do not practice a religion? Am I not allowed to answer questions about babies, too, because I'm not one?

*DRINK*

First of all, the term atheist only implies that a person lacks belief in supreme being(s)...it does not imply that a person lacks spirituality.

Second of all, this is a section for questions and answers about religion and spirituality. That does not imply that it is only for religous and spiritual people. Therefore this section does not "belong to" anyone. Atheists can have an interest in religion and spirituality just like anyone else.

Finally, when we tried to ask questions about God in the 'Cats' Section, they asked us to leave. So quit your whining and deal with the fact that people exist who have different opinions than you do.

And miss all the fun of winding you fundies up? Come on! As you may have noticed, this section is religion and spirituality, not christianity.
If you study religious studies, which I did, then its about the concept of religion and the different kinds of religions, sects, churches etc. in the world and how they fit in with society and culture. And that is why I am here, because the concept of religion interest me, because the fact that a rational, fairly intelligent human can choose to hang on to religion. And of course because its great fun! ;P
Besides, what will we talk about in a section of our own? "I'm an atheist, are you?" "Yes, I'm one too". End of discussion, end of questions, end of answers.
R&S doesn't belong to you either, in fact, it belongs to Yahoo...

Now I'm no atheist but I'll say this: it's a belief just like any other. We must all tolerate each other here, and no-one owns this section.
However it does annoy me that people come on to this site with the only intention of trying to break down someone else's beliefs. What's the point of that? I understand where you're coming from, but we must all be tolerant

The R&S section "belongs" to anyone with religious inquiry and anyone who can accurately answer religious inquiry. That INCLUDES atheists.

I know how many people define "religion" & "spirituality". If you are suggesting that atheists couldn't possible provide informative, valid answers to questions concerning these subjects, you're sorely mistaken.

1. Why didn't Yahoo! Answers provide a section for you?
The same reason there is no deist, pantheist, or theist sections.

2. Why do you always exert yourselves in a section (R&S) that does not belong to you?
I'm speaking about religion and spirituality. It belongs to me.

Atheist is a religion and all religion is man made!!
Atheists are really hypocrites in my mind because they say they don't believe in God, the Bible, and Jesus.
Yet they also keep one of God's 10 Commandments which is "Do not Kill." They seem to instinctively know that if they kill they will go to prison. Unless their is a big surge out there of atheists killing people then they are keeping that law still - thank God. Atheists have done a lot of damage to our country by attacking Christian Fundemental Beliefs.
