I'm doing an interservice transfer from submarines to the medical corps (USAF). It took me over a year to get my gold dolphins and I would like to be able to wear them if I can.

Yes, a submariners badge is authorized for inter service transfer.

But not all badges are.

Some like the Air Force Missile Man badge, are not allowed if you change service.

Another member named Pudge J posted this same question, almost verbatim. Either this is becoming an alarming fashion, or I smell a member with two accounts. You'll get the same response here as last time: Another idiot wanting something for nothing - riding on the boot strings of the troops trying to wet his willy. Why don't you grow a pair and earn that uniform!

Yes. As long as you did earn your dolphins, you can wear them. Check with the AF uniform regs on how to do so correctly, but I would guess above your ribbons just like you did in the Navy.

According to AFR 35-10, you are allowed to wear the attachments of any other service or nation. You are allowed to wear the medals and/or ribbons received from any other service. In order to wear the medals of an other country congress must approve those medals once. Check the current copy of 35-10.

In my Army Reserve day's Mr. Larsen had come over from the Navy with 11 years on subs. I am pretty sure he wore that badge on his Class A.

Should not be hard for you to find the AF Reg online to find where they want it displayed.

Yes, if you earned them. Make sure it's documented in your personnel file. You may be challenged somewhere and you want to make sure all your ribbons and medals are listed. Dolphins are not easy to get, good job Shipmate.

Once you earn wings, you always have wings so I would guess that you will probably be allowed them.
