I tried that Rachel Ray thing with cranberry muffins. Way too sweet. My idea works better.

That sounds interesting. I think I'll try that the next time I make stuffing. Wait a sec, I've never seen dried cranberries, only fresh, and canned cranberry sauce.

Dried cranberries ARE delicious! (I generally like Rachael's recipes, but crumbled sweet muffins in the dressing just sounds nasty.) Chopped Granny Smith apples are great. Onion, celery, and pecans, if you want to be traditional. I have a friend who adds crumbled spicy sausage, and another one who swears by torn pieces of frozen White Castle hamburgers. (Again, just sounds nasty to me.) Of course, there's always the luxurious addition of oysters, if you like them.

I like to use the turkey gizzards chopped up real fine and mix them with crumbled crackers, chopped&boil potatoes, green onions, and seasonings.
