I'm not a Christian, but to dispel any doubt you have as to your son's wellbeing, don't listen to anyone saying suicide is murder and he cannot be forgiven. Murder is defined as the unlawful killing of ANOTHER human being. Suicide cannot be murder. Your son is where-ever your beliefs say he will be, waiting for you.

the thinking of the church and myself is that killing oneself is a sin. however. suicide is such an extemme act that it is likely that some mental illness was present or that the person was imparied by something else like drugs.
if the act of self murder was done when the person was not able to make choices that they would have normally then the act is not so much what it seems as it is an involontary act.
if the person was fully aware of there actions and the results of the actions then it seems that hell is the final result.
hell meaning to be apart from god. at the very least.
i am sorry your son did this. i know that studies have been done on people about your sons age regarding there thoughts and brain activity. it seems that for a time some kids around that age are having so much going on in the body and mind that they really are not capable of caring for themselfs. mental illness is often seen at about that age.
i can say that you can pray for your son . ask God to forgive him and for you and your family and all who knew him to remember what he did and to help others not to go so far as that.
dont feel too guilty about your actions in this matter . too much or too little its sometimes all the same. even the best of doctors can make the mistake of releasing someone who is about to kill themself . i hope and pray that you find the good that is availble to you and all grow in faith in GOD and remember God is not mean he is loving and he is this childs father. the real father. consider this when you ask yourself what will GOD do. consider also that GOD is privy to all knowledge and all love.
may GOD GRANT YOU PEACE IN JESUS NAME I PRAY.

I am so sorry to hear that. Don't look to these sinners for your answers. You will not find what you are looking for. There is doubt and confusion here and very few people with a real love of God. Some religions state the soul goes straight to hell. That is RELIGION talking not FAITH and HOLY CONNECTION. God is a merciful and forgiving God. He loves your son more than you do. He made him in His image. Have faith your son is happy now. : )

God has pointed me here to see your question and to help you. I was suicidal several years ago and at that time God sent me the first of many signs that has helped me change the direction of my life. I am anonymous because I cannot take any personal credit for helping people see the light of God. I bring a different message for I am not associated with any church or Christian denomination.

I'm sure your son's soul is very near you. After seeing the pain and grief that taking his own life has caused you he regrets it deeply. Reach out to him. You may have seen him in your dreams already. While lying in bed every night before you go to sleep I want to you Pray to God to help bring peace to your son. Pray with all of your heart and pray in your own words and keep in mind that you do not need to pray out loud. God may ask of you to help bring the message of peace during the upcoming Christmas season in return. You'll know when you feel the Grace of the Holy Spirit in your heart that God is calling to you. Reach out to your son and let him know that it is not too late for him to feel the Grace of God upon his soul. The power of prayer is infinite! Pray with faith and God will allow you to have contact with your son for the sake of his soul. I will pray for you both as well.

Peace,

AAD

The same thing as any other soul
People say suicides go to hell, but that cant be true
No one commits suicide in the right state of mind.
Therefore you can not got o hell by reason of insanity

my prayers are with you, your family and your son.
being a Roman Catholic - here is what we are taught, what has been understood through Scriptures....
your son's soul will stand before the Judgement seat of God. His life will be revealed for all that it was and yes probably all that it could have been. his sins will be tested and (assuming here) since he was a believer who just lost his way - will be forgiven his sins - the sin of taking his own life. he will go through the same cleansing period - this time of cleansing & purging "we" call purgatory. scriptures tell us that some sins will be forgiven in the next like. this is one of the reasons why Catholics pray for the dead -- who is to say your son isn't standing before God at this very time....
have faith - our Lord did not leave your son, even though your son didn't apparently realize His love was right there.

i'm so truly sorry. my cousin was a little older when he took his life. its been a long time back now and i still get sad when i come acrorss pictures thinking - what could i have done. unfortunately, there is nothing we can do - except have faith.

God be with you all!!!

EDIT -- the Lord does not condemn those who are not in their right mind. forgive the bluntness but - your son was NOT in his right mind when he killed himself.

Suicide IS NOT the unpardonable Sin.

Really Sorry to hear that. satan has no mercy whatsoever.

GOD Almighty can Expand Time and give People "Another Chance" to get Saved,in situations like this.
I doubt if AnyBody would say "No" to GOD (Jesus) in that situation.
The only People I know that aren't in Heaven are Told about in The Bible.
NOW, If your Already SAVED, Your in Heaven with Jesus.
The Soul of a Man or Woman (the Spiritual SuperComputer GOD gave us, (our Minds, Will's and Emptional Centers) stays with US, a Spirit.
We are Spirits and we Look just like our Body's.
We fit in them like Hand and Glove.
King David Talked to his Soul Alot.
Again, Sorry to Hear about this, May GOD Help you through this (if you don't mind a Prayer) in The Name of Jesus.

I AM Expecting to see ALOT of People in Heaven.
My Aunt did this thing years ago, very Nice Person, Always Loved her.
I Believe I will see her Again.
May GOD Bless.

I believe it returns to our original source. A pleasant source. Some may call it "heaven-like" others "summerlands". I believe he is now completely at ease and has been illuminated by knowledge. What that soul chooses to do next is unknowable to us. Most probably a desire to attempt to re-learn a failed lesson.

May Comfort find you.....I"m so sorry you're experiencing this...

I won't try to give you false hope of his soul being here or there.... I don't know... neither does anyone else.... all we can hope for is that the part of us that is our awareness is now asleep... without knowing, without pain, without misery... just asleep..... if there's anything to come later, none of us knows.. we'll just have to sleep and go on sleeping until something changes us from that state, if it ever does..... rest yourself with the realization that whatever drove your son to this act is no longer troubling him... of that, he is now free.... your grief is righteous... experience it, live it, work thru it.... and you'll go on.... as a mom, my heart hurts for you......
