In my opinion, you may take a bath but with cold water not warm water. Don't ever scratch the "wounds" of the chickenpox. Apply some calamine lotion after taking a bath.

When my kids had chickenpox I put them in the bath with porridge oats in an old sock (squeeze the sock to release the milky liquid) then gave them a quick wash down with the shower.Pat the skin dry, carefully.Throw the towel into the washer after one use.Hope you get well soon.Years ago we used to put calamine lotion on the skin, but I think that it outdated now.

You can certainly have a shower but not too hot and i wouldn't use perfumed shower gels etc. and resist the urge to rub too vigorously with towel when getting dried, no matter how good it may feel at the time!! calomine lotion is cooling and helps dry up the spots.

Yes - having it on a cool setting and it should help you feel better.

Use a very mild soap or shower gel so you don't irritate your skin.

Pat or air dry then dab Calomine lotion on.

Yes! You must keep yourself as clean as possible otherwise your pox might become infected and that would not be a pleasant experience for you at all. Keep well and don't pick at the scabs as this will leave the dreaded white scars behind.

No reason why you couldn't or shouldn't. be careful when you dry of that you just pat the skin dry and don't use talc. Also be sure that no one uses your towel or flannel before it has been through a machine wash.
