In Islam....what is thighing, and if true, can it be carried out on infants?

I was thinking of becoming a Muslim, but if this is true and accepted, which it appears to be, it's DISGUSTING.

But what if the Koran justifies this. I understand not letting mature women drive and them being there for Man's pleasure....but abusing children?? That's not right is it! Justifiable??

also...any potential convert has the right to question everything they hear about Islam, after all, changing religions is not something to be done with blind faith or taken lightly. Questioning everything they hear makes sure that they understand every arguement that could be thrown at them from non belivers who question their commitment to Islam.

Living in a non-muslim country, non-muslims hear many, many bad things about islam, so to even have someone seeing past that and being genuinely interested in it is a blessing.


And remember headswin.......if it is not in the Qu'ran, it can be argued. Because the Qu'ran is the word of God. Hadiths and Scholars are man, so be quick to doubt their claims unless they agree with what is said in the Qu'ran.

headsiwin= As you can see, there is NOTHING in the Qu'ran that allows 'thighing'. Man by himself is prone to flaws, even so called scholars of that religion....catholic priests have been caught molesting young boys...but we know that is terribley wrong. Just as some scholars could say 'thighing' is legitimate, but we know otherwise! Please continue your path to Islam. I deal with the same doubts you are having too, but I soon plan to convert regardless because Allah knows best!

Kohmenei did not come up with this idea on his own. The practice is described in the Koran and Hadiths. When Mohammed married the 6 year old Aisha, he was unable to consummate the marriage. So to get his jollies, Mohammed "thighed" his child bride.

Because Mohammed is seen as the example of perfect conduct to Muslims, Muslim men are allowed to do this.

Why would you want to become a Muslim? Any religion that would ask me to give up barbecue and beer can look elsewhere for a convert.

The technical term for this is "intercrural sex". You can look it up yourself using that term. Its current association with Islam is primarily due to the writings of the Ayatollah Khomenei, who pronounced that it was an acceptable thing to do to girls as young as two years of age. Never. This is totally untrue. If you were thunking of becomeing muslim, you should have known that such weird and horrendous concepts can never be a part of islam. ISlam encourages peace and justics not cruelty and ruthless acts.

There is nno mention of thighing on infants or children anyone who one is not married to. It not there either in Quran or hadith. You wont find it anywere.
Some critics whi try to malign islam may say that so and so person siad its allowed. We must remeber, that no human being's words are above our Prophet. He is our model to be followed. NO muslim can say something is allowed in islam when it si not, and especially when the Prophet did not say anyhting about it. Who is Khomeine??? Anyone can say anything about islam. Our duty is to cross check and see if it in congruence with islam or not. If its not, will that discourage you from Islam, the true religion??

He also said:

"A man can marry a girl younger than nine years of age, even if the girl is still a baby being breastfed. A man, however is prohibited from having intercourse with a girl younger than nine, while other sexual acts such as foreplay, rubbing, and kissing are allowed. A man having intercourse with a girl younger than nine years of age has not committed a crime, but only an infraction, if the girl is not permanently damaged. If the girl, however, is permanently damaged, the man must provide for her all her life. But this girl will not count as one of the man's four permanent wives. He also is not permitted to marry the girl's sister."

In all Muslim countries, if you can't marry a girl, you can't have sex with her, even non-intercourse sex. So, passionate kissing, grouping and so forth would get you in trouble, let alone sticking your member between her thighs.

So, that pretty much concludes that. As others have already mentioned, Khomenei thoerizations aside, this is not condoned in any mainstream Islamic practice.

well ..i kinda doubt ur story of becoming a muslim cz u r doubting the Prophets character, but who is to know ...the thighing thing is a lie spread by anti-islamic ppl. Instead of asking this question on any website where random ppl with no specific knowledge answer u, they may be right may be wrong i suggest u shld go to an Islamic Scholar with good knowledge to clear ur Doubts.

Edit: Bronze: thanx for reminding me that , i was wrong i guess, well i looked up some things and i cant find even a single authentic hadith that supports that "thiging" statement , nor could i find any statement of that sort in the quran, prophet Muhammad consumated his marriage with Aisha(R.A) when she was 9, i know it sounds bad in todays sense of the world but back in those days it was common to marry young girls,according to the christians st.joseph married mary when he was 90 and mary was 14, It was a common thing back in the days and in islamic point of view a girl is eligible for marriage as soon as she hits puberty. And girls even hit puberty as early as 8 i saw a pic of a 9 yr old who gave birth to a child. So back in the days it was normal to marry a young girl.Hope this helps. I think you are referring to inter-crural sex, or the placing of the penis between the legs of the partner and thrusting to achieve sexual relief without actual penetration.
Do Muslims do this? I have no idea.
