Johnny, your feelings are not unnatural. A lot of people second-guess their purpose in life. I do not think this warrants the assistance of a mental health counselor so much as it does some personal reflection with yourself. What do you really want out of life? What are your best skills? Where do you think you are best needed?

Don't be afraid to follow your heart, but do so with reason and you should be fine.

With respect to what your creator wants you to do: I truly believe God's greatest gift to the mortal soul is its inherent ability to make free-willed decisions. You are not a puppet, you are entitled to create your own story and path. Do not be afraid to claim it. Your creator gives you the endowment of such will as a reflection of his own, use it well, and I trust, at some point, you will truly know which path to take. Don't be afraid to make mistakes along the way, that's what growing up is all about! =)

I've had similar experiences. Often I try to remember where my interests lie. What do I want to do in my life? Am I fullfilled? Follow your heart and your dreams. If you believe you have a higher purpose, follow that. If you are living happily and you are satisfied, then you are living as you should be. We all have choices. There is no great expectation, except for the ones we put upon ourselves. Also, no job or situation is mutually exclusive. Meaning we don't always having to be doing just one thing. We can do so much more. To explore further what you think you should be doing, ask yourself what you enjoy doing. Do you enjoy helping others? Using your hands to build things? Being around people or nature? Make a list and go through it. Most of all, remember you do have a purpose, and its best you be happy with this purpose you create for yourself then to be unhappy.

Blessings and best of luck.

have faith that what your creator will give you all the necessary tools in life to do what he/she/it expects from you.
Take a deep breath and look at what you are doing in school. Does it make you happy? Do you enjoy the subject? or is there another subject, or multiple subjects you feel you should pursue?
I had a similar feeling my senior year of college.
If you feel that you are meant to do something important, don't let that feeling go, no matter how hollow you feel, keep the determination that your creator will allow you to clear your mind and make the right decision to do that important task.

I Think you should pray more to God and ask him believe me sometimes you don't know when you can receive the answer to your answer.....I think is just that you are in a process to finding within yourself...Sometimes we all feel confuse and lost but God is always there by our side just don't get worry too much about it...you will find the answer to your question and is not that you did something wrong or doing , is that you are hungry of God and you need a little bit more of that love and care, may be you are missing what God wants for you to do for him, you just gotta find what you are suppose to do..GBY...

Hmmm well it sounds like you may be a little religious from your question (if not then this won't work lol). Do you go to church? If you do, I think your best course of action would be to talk to your priest/pastor/whatever the head of your church is, really sit and talk with them about it and they'll be able to give you guidance (keeping in mind of course that they know you better than we do!)
If you're not religious and/or DON'T go to church, perhaps you have friends or family you could talk about this with? (Again going along the lines that they know you better than we do). Someone who knows you will be able to help you more than we will.
(Personally, I believe in God, but I don't believe He has this major "plan" for every one of us...and I definitely don't go to church...but for the record, I'm not trying to mock you or say you're crazy for feeling this way. I understand that others have different beliefs than I do. And anyone telling you to get counseling or anything else - I've seen it before in the religion section - should just shut up, don't worry about them :) )

Pray for God's will, He will make clear what you should or should'nt be doing. Read the Bible too for guidance. Listen in church for clues too and from other Christians.

I think you know what is wrong and right, your conscience should be guiding you, God works through that too.

Usually, God gives us gifts and we are to use those to the best of our ability. He gives us opportunities to use them. Are you doing that?

No, I often think that there is something else I should be doing, or somplace else that I should be. Mabey there is, Its just our job to figure out our own destiny. Good luck. and if you dwell on this feeling for too long you might just make it worse. Just let fate take its course.

I think we all go through those phases in life...where you just arent sure that the path you chose is the path you are supposed to be on...Don't worry, your creator will lead you back if you go astray...
