I never expect a reply to a card, however to a gift, I would think that a thank you of some kind is in order.

No and Yes. Common curtesy...you should get a call or a thank you note. I believe however that if you give a gift you should expect nothing back. You are the giver so to say. It is possible that not enough time has past or maybe this person would rather thank you in person.

you know, it is very rude of another person not to acknowledge a gift. but it is also wrong to give someone a gift just to expect something in return. maybe they are waiting to see you in person or speak with you on the phone. maybe you should call them and say hey i never heard from you did the gift make it to you yet? that would be a tactful way to handle the situation. good luck!

human beings desire to be known with a card. i don't comprehend what it rather is approximately it, regardless of the shown fact that that is purely a actuality. It additionally relies upon on the placement. If it rather is a marriage/bridal bathe, thank you notes are generally some thing you will desire to provide, even nonetheless they have been easily on the social gathering and you thanked each physique for coming. It shows which you cared adequate to make the attempt out of your busy schedule to place in writing a notice. i think of it additionally shows which you easily comprehend what they have been given you. that is approximately gratitude and appreciate.

You should check that they got it. The mail has been very dodgy of late and I am sure that if they have received it then they are still celebrating and intend to thank you shortly - I know it has happened to me where time has passed and then I realise that I have failed to thank someone so if you really care then forgive them now!

not everyone does that, call or email you to tell you they received the gift.

maybe you should call and ask just to make sure. postal service can be real crazy sometimes.
