Thank you, Canchito, for asking. Let me rephrase the question for you. "Why is obsessing over superstitious beliefs common in people experiencing mental health problems?" We are a fragile species and too often are prone to reaching out for superstitious reasons in an attempt to explain away our own destinies. You might also say we tend to be lazy and find it easier to adopt superstitious mentality than it is to take the time to figure out what's going on.

In all fairness, I don't believe superstition, per se, is a key factor in people experiencing mental health problems, but rather, the vast majority of our family species engages in some form of superstitious mentality or another and therefore there's the illusion as if superstition and mental health problems go hand in hand. If we were to put things percentage-wise, I'd say there's no significant difference between superstitious thinkers versus non-superstitious thinkers when it comes to having mental health problems. Mental health problems stems from interactions from those around us, period. Again, Canchito, thank you for asking. Tsark out.

It all depends, but in my experience I was thinking religion would be a way out of the insane thinking I was going through. However what I have discovered is that religion was one of the problems. Because religion is man made ideas and beliefs that others want to impose on you so they can feel better about themselves and control the masses. When we are in a state of mental illness and feeling like were going crazy, anything looks better than what we have at the moment. But it is an illusion.

I think because they become a fanatic and take the religion and its prophecies to personal and serious and they start bringing it into there personal lives
Also allot of mentally disturbed people run to the church for help. Which sometimes makes the problem worse because they start making the religion there dependence.

Then they become consumed with it.

In astrology, religion and mental health are both ruled by the 12th house and Pisces.
