Are Muslims being represented correctly or is history written by the one who wins? Has the internet help spread the truth about Islam? Or do you feel that other people have spread their own truth about Islam and not the real teachings of Islam?

The media is always one sided. Eventually the truth will come out. It's sad but yes, many people have spread falsehoods by way of the net. When you do an internet search a nonMuslim site is usually the #1 site that comes up for Islamic sites.

Internet is the media where u can find any kind of perspectives. I would say I would not have had the chance to revert to islam if I didnt have found information about islam on the internet. Still, nowadays are many website slandering islam. But at least is the only channel where we can at least try to express what islam really is. TV and Press media is all biased.

Yes, media is one sided.
I think more or less history is wriiten correctly but most people choose to read and quote only those version which goes against Islam, otherwise some of the christians historian have been honest on wrirting about Islam.

yes Internet have been a great help in spreading the message of Islam. Muslims as a whole failed to take advantage of TV and print media, but they are doing good through internet.

There are people/sites who tried to misrepresent Islamic teaching, but people have option to read both of that and select whatever they think is right

I'm not Muslim, but just yesterday I was reading an article in Time Mag that compares and contrasts Muslim society with western culture. Especially the fact that westerners display sex in public but pray in private while Muslims do the exact opposite. While some outlets in the media display a bias, I do believe a conscious effort is being made to do otherwise, and the smart American would do well to do some comparing and contrasting on their own.

Yes, but I think there are reasons... I believe the media need to do this so that the wars can be somehow justified. It wouldn't look good if they showed Islam having model citizens.

The owner of the Media decided. They own the Media. No other have the right to say anythings. They know best what and which to release. It must be to be sided of it's own.

The media is brimming with lies, lies and more lies. Oh, did I mention LIES??!
The aim of the pathetic media is to degrade Islam but InshaAllah it wont work, they are failing miserably! More and more people are coming to Islam every day. Alhumdulillah!
