Another flaw in the concept of god. AS you stated it makes no sense for god (if he was real) to test someone's faith if god is all-knowing. I am certain that you will get many cop-out answers from the religious people.
Edit:
Three thumbs down so far, wow I guess my answer hit a nerve with religious people. I'd like to know supporting evidence that supports their claim other than the cop-outs that I have read stating it is a test for us and not him.
Once again, an all-knowing god would not have to test someone if he knows the answers already.
This points to my thoughts of how religion views rational thinking as harmful

I don't believe that God tests us. I believe that we live in the world of evil and things happen. God allows things to happen because of our choices or circumstances and it is our faith that sees us through and with that faith and struggle of living through the valleys and darkness that we grow closer to Him.
The Lord does know the outcome. We are the ones that go off track and then God takes the choices we have made and uses them for good. It is us that change things by using our free will.....HIS GIFT.

Let us not be confused though.
James 1:13-15 makes it very clear:
"When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death."
The tests we go through are often the result of our own sinful inclinations or the result of living in an imperfect world and not directly caused by God at all.
How we get through our trials is very telling. It shows what "we're made of". Do we rely on God during times of great pain and sorrow? Do we maintain our integrity to God when faced with spiritual difficulties? Or do we cave under pressure, curse God or turn our backs on him?
How does coming through problems triumphantly affect us and others?
"I never knew my own strength," is something people might say... or "This has really strengthened my faith in God".
It's been said a person's true colors show best when the bullets are flying. Personally, I've found that is often very true.

A product requires lot of quality control testing before launching it in the market to assure good quality. But god does not believe in quality control, resulting in the present day mess we all are in, chaos everywhere.
Jokes apart, I myself is puzzled

nicely, yours is a great question i'm able to make it easier to recognize that. i think of faith is needed because of the fact there are diverse issues that we would desire to do. issues that we could constantly face up to. faith isn't something with out an merchandise of which it acts upon. If I truthfully have faith that my Father in Heaven loves me, it provides me capability to do something He thinks that I could do. See, i've got faith I truthfully have a plan for my existence. i've got faith I lived in Heaven in the previous I got here to earth. and that i willingly got here to earth desirous to take on the annoying situations that I truthfully have and would have. Alot of persons have attitudes in the direction of annoying situations that say, why me? it extremely is bigoted and different issues like that. because of the fact i know and function faith that I as quickly as needed this, i do no longer proceed to exist that form of an strategies-set. now and returned I do issues with out understanding why. they pop out with great outcomes, yet I doubt i'd've performed them if i did no longer have faith that Heavenly Father would help me. If a attempt have been particularly ordinary, would it not understand that plenty to all of us? If God confirmed himself to all of us and then promised to help them, existence would be particularly ordinary. We on no account would desire to truly anticipate him conserving his word, and we on no account would desire to place any attempt into attending to nicely known him because of the fact he's already confirmed himself to all and sundry. component of what makes existence no longer ordinary is that we do not know each and every thing. we would desire to have faith what we've faith and thereafter we benefit evidence. Having faith in God makes you better and extra waiting to serve God and to prevail on your complete means.

Not only are we tested, but we grow through being tested. He places us, His spirit children, in spheres where we can learn and grow by exercising our agency, if we employ it correctly.
I do not believe in a deterministic God—that is, one who determines in advance the eventual fate of His children. Rather, I believe in a God who has perfect foreknowledge of the choices His children will make. He may use this foreknowledge to guide us or even to warn us, but He does not use it to preempt our agency. He allows us to become what we truly desire to become. God knows what each will do under given conditions, and sees the end from the beginning. His foreknowledge is based on intelligence and reason. He foresees the future as a state which naturally and surely will be; not as one which must be because He has arbitrarily willed that it shall be.

LOL...
It isn't "God" testing faith. That's idiotic. It is, instead, reality interrupting ones illogical positions and it is reason and logic nibbling away at the structure of ones poorly laid foundation for understanding the world around him.
Get real, folks. The "tests" are nothing more than coping with reality.

If it wasn't then religion could not exist - this is the principle behind christianity - since there is no evidence for god - god must be testing our faith
if there is a "god" or "higher force" most who practice middle eastern religions couldn't be further from understanding it.
