I really like this guy, I'm semi-sure he likes me. I want to know if the following is considered a date, in your eyes, please.
- I invited him to the movies this Friday, as a sort of bday 'party' (mine).
- I'm paying for the tickets.
- It's just us going, no other friends of mine.
- We've been friends for 3 years, not best friends, just friends.
- I'm turning 17, he is 17, and we're both in 11th grade.

What do you think? Any answers or input are appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Yes it's a friendly date. Now that you have made the first move, leave the next move to him.
Happy Birthday, hope it's a good one.

I think he probably looks at it like a friend thing. ( a celebration for your birthday). It depends on how you act at the movie. There is a definite difference between how you would be with a friend and a date. Just be a little flirty and I'm sure he'll get the hint. And happy birthday, hope it works out.

i dont think its a date bc u are payin for both tickets. i see this as 2 friends hangin out. have u been on the date yet. if he try something like kissin holdin hands then its a date or he offers to pay for u both maybe then its a date by ur info i think its just 2 friends hangin out

Sorry, but I'd have to say no. From what you've said it seems like jsut 2 friends going to the cinema. If you really like him you should tell him... or....casually slip it into your conversation. Maybe ask him if it's a date?

It is definitely a date. Does he know that hes the only one going? You might want to tell him, so he knows what the score is.

It would be considered a date in my eyes UNLESS you say something before hand like "this is not a date". TELL HIM YOU LIKE HIM!

If it is just you and him. It's a DATE. But how come your birthday party is only you and him. I wouldn't consider that as a party.
