Anything in this world is open to corruption by man, whether you believe in a God or not. For example look at the Internet, it was for the benefit of communication, to bring people together, now it's big business and full of porn.

Each pastor finds their own path. The ones that are financially inspired have a huge awakening come judgment day. They will be the ones to whom Jesus says, "Depart from me, I knew you not."
We can't judge, but we can discern that people like Joel Osteen and the Rev Schuller are sliding down that slippery slope. Please don't judge the church as a whole based on the antics of pastors like that. Thanks!!
