I have heard that it wasn't Eve. Apparently his first wife, I do not remember her name, was also made from the Earth as Adam was but God was displeased with her and then made Eve. I am sure that this is not in the Bible, so where have people gotten this information from? I am aware that are many books written after Jesus' death; however some did not make the "final cut" of the Bible.

Are there any books that were written at around the time when the books of the Bible were written that mention this however did not make the Bible?

Prophet Salman Rushdie (PBUH); it is a story of the creation of Earth and I wish to know of the characters. Perhaps you did not understand why I asked; curiosity. Any man can have a wife in a story.

jericko; you have not understood the question. I wish to know where the story of Adam having another wife came from if not from the Bible. My having a Bible or not does not come into it. I know what it says in the Bible.

Tradition and Hebrew/Jewish midrashim (among other sources) say that Lilith was Adam's first wife. There are so many stories about her from so many different traditions that I can't begin to discuss or even name them all here.

Lilith is just an ancient folk story. The Bible is clear and there is no room for a first wife.

1 Timothy 2:13
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

Why believe on hearsay? Believe what was written in the bible. Hearsay is designed to destroy the words of God in the bible. Even in the law of man, hearsay is not acceptable in Court.
Anyway, do you know the meaning of hearsay?
hearsay

hear·say [hr sày]
noun
second-hand information: information that is heard from other people

people seem to think that because it appears to them that their is 2 creation accounts in Genesis that Adams must have had 2 wife's. but of coarse they are just not understanding scripture Adam only had 1 wife and there was only one creation. God created everything including Adam and the animals then he made the garden of Eden, he put just Adam in the garden then he made more of every animal and put them in the garden with Adam then he took Adams rib and made eve.

Yes, what crypt0mn said, it was Lilith. But she was too independent-minded, so God made Eve instead.

Yeah, but instead of simply saying she was independent-minded, people were telling me she was the devil`s spawn or something. And that just proves that God started gender superiority and attempted to prevent differences between beings.

There is nothing in the Bible to suggest that it was anyone other than Eve.
