Respect has to earned. You do not get it because you are good looking or have money. If you have to ask this question I am inclined to think you have no idea what respect is at all.

No man or a woman should stay with a person who doesn't respect him or her.
And when there's an issue of trust involved, no relationship will ever work if one party feels that the other party can't be trusted.
You earn respect by being respectful. You earn respect by standing for something. No woman will ever respect a man who allows her to walk all over him. Because no woman wants a wimpy man.
Respect is related to character. You can have the utmost respect without money and without looks. It's all in how you carry yourself and what you will and will not accept in your life.

no you shouldn't. you gain respect from just being yourself and listening to them, you must be approachable and trustworthy. People wont respect you if you stay with that women who don't trust you. Trust and respect is only related to character in my experience

i dont think you can do much its themselves that has too do sumthin, they are insecure of themselves thats why they dont trust you.. i was like that when i was very young and never trusted my boyfriend, well now i dont care caus if he loves me he wont do aNything.. so ya she needs to solve it herslef... oh and a way to gain rezpect is to respect them, and also not force them into things they dont want to do and be a gentlemen.. it has to do with caracter too by the way.. i wouldnt want a guy with no caracter, id die of boredom, but you get the ones who chase after money too and looks, oh and looks count a little with caracter, can you imagine yourself kissing that bud ugly girl even though she has a great personality, no, so ther need to be attraction in order to like someone.
