"which do you think is better? which is faster?"

They're both free, so try Firefox yourself and make your own decisions.

"which is more safe?" IE uses "potentially unsafe Active X controls" and Firefox doesn't. Mozilla also patches critical flaws faster than Microsoft for IE, in my experience. For these reasons alone, I trust Firefox more than IE.

And Firefox's Tools > Add ons, like IE Tab, are just "Icing on the cake!!!".

TIP: I only use IE for Windows Updates and surfing all the dumb websites that are "IE only".

Morzilla Firefox is more faster, and more safer than Internet Explorer. And i think Morzilla Firefox is more better as you can have tabs, instead of opening many of them.

The thing I like about Firefox over IE is that plugins install automatically and if it ever does crash (far less than IE) it tells you before closing all the pages and when you restart, it asks you if you want to start a new session or restore your last session. In essence it takes you back to all the pages you were viewing before it crashed.

Mozilla has many plugins that can enhance your browsing experience like Flash Blocker to block flash files and Ad Blocker to block ads. Web pages load faster when such things are blocked. I am using Dial-up and these plugins are very useful.

For safety you still need a anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall software.you can use a Internet Security application for this like McAfee, Kaspersky or go for free ones like AVG, Avast.
