OMG... Are you kidding??? You're kidding... I hope!

(I didn't know there were people out there who actually believe that.)

Hey, I've seen the "Beast". He has the "666" on his head. His name's Damien Thorn.

The "mark of the beast" came from the values that Hebrews applied to certain numbers. The number 6 was consitered incomlete, while the number 7 was consitered to be the most complete and holy of all numbers. Therefore, the mark of the beast, or Satan, is 666. It also could mean "the mark of man" since man was incomplete and unholy. Some people say the mark was actually 616, but most accept 666 as the mark. I suppose that means God's was 777 then?
I'm not totally sure though why numbers come in threes, but that is a trend throughout the Bible. For instance, God was commonly referred to as "holy, holy, holy.", not just "holy."

According to the Bible 666 is actually the number of Man. Or a Man depending on translation. The number 7 is often used for Divinity in the Bible.

The mark of God is the seal of Christ. It is not visible as your mark is. It is currently played out in the lives of His followers by the way they live and love those around them.

I like the Left Behind take on this subject - those sealed by God had an invisible (to the world, other believers could see it), 3D tattoo on their foreheard like a thumb-print in the shape of a cross.

Technically 616 is the number of the beast. It's been changed over time to 666.
OMG! Your hand is evil! *crosses self* lol

Uh the marking means kind of like branding. it is a identification. 666 are all imperfect numbers symbolicaly.

God does not have a mark.

Well, God actually prefers 3D, and so created the canine - a cleverly disguised living symbol. Whosoever has a DOG inherits a fast-track EZ pass to the Kingdom.

(My dog died several years ago - and now I notice my cat's whiskers curl in the shape of 666. I'm doomed.)

It is a mis-translation from the Greek - its 616 is the mark of the beast.

Yet another example of the errors in the bible

Yeah, that piece of pencil lead that's been in the palm of my left hand since grade four will also be visible.
