Mankind tries to box God and his Creation into Time as we know it. God did not create the Universe in 7 days with 24 hours a day. He is the same Yesterday, Today, and Forever, so those who try to disprove the Creators work, by pointing to the Age of this world as we judge it to be, still cannot disprove God's Creation.

I am a Christian who accepts evolution as fact. God works on a different time frame than man. Evolution is the evidence of God creating the world. We are just looking at it from a much slower perspective.

Yes, because evolution is a fact! Genesis is fiction! It's just a way to try to explain "in a simple way" how so many of us got here! It's an age old dilemma solver for what came first, the chicken or the egg! Time measurements in biblical terms don't mean anything! Think about it for 10 seconds before you jump off the roof! If we measure time by our solar system, and we know that we are not the ONLY PLANET out there, then it would make sense that explained in Genesis terms, that it didn't take seven days for all this to happen!

Since nobody was there to know for sure, the only thing that my Church says is that evolution 'could' have happened but at some point in the creation of the homosapien an immortal soul was infused in him, thus making him higher than the animals and in the image and likeness of God.

Because the Genesis account is a mythological account, written over a thousand years after it purportedly occurred, and whoever wrote it was not an authoritative source.

I don't see how that's possible. Christians know the truth, that God created the universe and everything in it.

Yeah, I know some. I think they believe that god started the creation procedure and then we evolved from there (presumably according to god's plan?)

God did it if it happened, there is nothing for me to reconcile.

Yep.
Because I don't think god would be dumb enough to make Eve only have sons. It would force them to make their mom commit adultery.
