why do i sometimes dream about this?

Question

the dream was that i was on a road and it was dark,not really dark but the skies were blue,then,a man suddenly shouted holding a knife ran towards me and i run.then a lightning stroke a tree that blocked my way and fire was burning strong on it,then,the man behind me grab my back and i woke up frightened.sometimes,i think too much about this dream that i couldn't go back to sleep.someone please help.

It sounds to me as though you feel that dangers are approaching you in all directions - the lightning strike; the tree; the man with the knife - and that you're trapped. It sounds like you're stuck at some point in your life (the road), and that until you figure a way out, you can't go forward. Beyond that, it's hard to say more without knowing you.

The road represents the path that you now follow in your life (also the path that you have followed up until now and the path that lye up ahead)......you may feel that the road has been, is and will continue to be bleak, yet the blue skies above represent positive light or hope....spiritual enlightenment if you will......it seems that when you start noticing that you may either be on the right path or that things are starting to work out for you, things develope to block you or things seem to come out of the blue and get in your way........(man shouting and holding a knife....lightening struck a tree which blocked your path...fire burning, etc...)......the man behind you that grabbed your back was your higher power....YOUR POWER............this dream represents your path in life.......it seems up until know that you have struggled to find blue skies on some level and that things seem to "get in the way" of your happiness or success with various things.....but the dream advises you that you have a strength that comes from within...a spirit guided strength that you should take advantage of...study spirit guides, take a course in self esteem, and don't be afraid to seek guidance from someone who has been there or knows about things that may serve you well.........you think way too much about the dream because it is calling for you to take action. until you take action, you will keep thinking.........and possibly having the dream........

Road represents your direction in life and where you are going. The man with the knife represents someone who wants to wound you, but it does not neccessarily kill you. The lightning is usually symbolic of the divine judgement of God. If you continue to move forward in that path, you will be consumed by the fire burning on the tree. The man who finally grabbed your back can represent someone you need to face and deal with and trust God.

Most "running away" dreams are about some issue that you need to deal with--but you don't know how, or you are afraid to face it.

The guy catching you and about to do you harm symbolizes your fearfulness of a bad reaction to whatever your issue is. Most people have this kind of dream, along with the "running away but not going anywhere" dream, the "naked in a crowded place dream" and the ultra-common "falling" dream.

I read a book about this subject a long time ago, and then there was a report about dreams on my local news channel. My interpretation is just my opinion, though. Your dream could mean something totally different. But I hope I was helpful either way.
