The only time I remember I was ever bullied was in grade 7 when this kid, whom I had known since grammer school said I better bring money to school the next day. I was a little shocked since I never thought of him as a bully.

So at that moment, my cousin and I decided to pound his face in while his buddy looked on. He apologized the next day.

I was chased, threatened, and beaten up repeatedly by three guys I went to school with. It went on for several years and it got to the point where I made excuses not to go to school, school dances, school activities, etc. because it was overwhelming.

That was in the 70s and noone did anything about stuff like that then, if I had gone to the police they would have laughed and said something incredibly inane like, "hey kid, learn to fight" or "hey, I went through that as a kid and it makes you tougher."

I was never a fighter and never saw the sense in getting your face beaten in on purpose, and it didnt make me tougher, I just became avoidant of any situation where they would be which was most anywhere.

Funny thing, after I joined the service ( I walked into the Marines and volunteered for Viet Nam but they were no longer taking people for Nam as they were ramping down there) and came home on leave, the leader of the 3 was friendly and polite and came up and shook my hand when he saw me. Turns out he found God while I was gone, so had I, the hard way.

To this day, I strongly support any non-bullying rules or laws that help kids feel safer. There is no reason someone should have to put up with that treatment for years on end.

I Got Bullied In Middle School!
I Use To Have All Sorts Done To Me. But When I Started High School People Left Me Alone, Because I Use To Hang Around With People Who Knew My Brother :] So They Would Just Stick Up For Me. But Now I'm In 6th Form, Everyone Has Grown Up From That. :]

But Now I Don't Let Anyone Walk All Over Me. People Who Pick On You Are Sad. They Have A Sad Life. And Are Pothetic (Blantantly). My Mum Always Use To Tell Me To Have The Bollox Just To Say Something. And That I Like Really Regret.

I Delt With My Bullying By Actaully Having A Fight. I Just Went Ballistic, And Just Went For It. But Then This Person Was Being Pothetic And Had To Get Older People After Me. So My Brother Sorted Them Out.

But Now People Hang Themselves!!! A Girl Who Went To Blyth Jex In Norwich, She Was Only 12, And I Knew Her Sister And She Hung Herself. And The Head Teacher Only Cared About Her Reputation. Not The Pupils.

Stupid Really!!
:]
Have A Good Day

When I was at secondary school in the first year there was this err girl that was a bit on the butch side. When you were least expecting it she would she would creep up and grab yer hand and press it down onto a scadding hot radiator with all her strength. It used to knack like hell till you could get yer hand away! And of course because she was a "girl" you couldn't smack her! She used to prowl the school with her cronies looking for victims! The last I heard she had 4 kids, had several lesbian relationships, major drug problems and died about 10 years ago! Every time I touch a radiator now I think of her !

My two boys at different times told me that they were being bullied. We went into the back yard and l showed them how to punch a person for the most effect and other things, etc. l told then that when they punch the guy to hit him as hard as you can no matter how scared you are then if you can go for another punch hard. Next day they did what l told them and everything was over. It worked both times. Good luck.

I was bullied for the last 2 years of secondry school cause I was the new kid and I didn't fit in.

My mum tried to get the school to deal with it after I got beaten up but the school blamed me for the girl punching the living day lights out of me!!!!!!

How did I deal with it? I avoided just about everyone in my year and hung out with the other "outcasts". I basically had to grin and bear it for 2 years!!!!!! Ruined my education too!

I used to get picked on by an old lady who lived down the street from us when i was a kid. One day i was out cutting lawns to save money for my brothers birthday gift when she walked by and started yelling abuse at me for not offering to cut her lawn. The owner of the house came out and threw a bucket of water over her and she ran away screaming, "Burns it does, burns!!" Never saw her again after that. She was a tad mental i found out afterwards. But yeah violence works for bullies, they should all be beaten and then counselled afterwards.

I was bullied in both primary and secondary schools.

I dealt with the primary school bullying by talking to my Dad (whose advice was to make up funny names about the people who were bullying me and giggle thinking about it every time they started verbally assaulting me), He also said that he would go in and talk to the teacher - but only if I wanted him to; after he pointed out that they would then know how it was affecting me and do it even more. As it was only name calling and stuff like that I just put up with it. Luckily it finished as I was with an older group and when they went on to the next class I was kept back..

The secondary school bullying was more physical and I dealt with it by going to the head teacher and she got all the perpetrators in her room one by one and told them their behaviour was not acceptable and all teachers would be keeping their eyes open for any "breaches of school rules" with them as special cases. Soon stopped after that!
