You can enter the Philippines, Hongkong, Israel, Mexico and many countries without a visa using an American passport for a short visit but not all countries.

I would hope that all other countries change their immigration policies and require american citizens to obtain visas, simply because America now requires ALL foreigners to obtain visas to visit that country now.
Even citizens from visa waiver program countries require visas, so technically there is no visa waiver program anymore.
For americans to assume they can waltz into any country they like and start working, is the height of ignorance and arrogance.
