You need to have a work visa or some sort of visa to be able to work there and stay there.

An American citizen can live in a foreign country temporarily, however they can only work if they get a Working Visa for, or become a citizen of said country.

NO - an american CANNOT just walk into any country threy choose and start working. You are just so ignorant and arrogant.

It can take up to 2 years to obtain permission to live in Canada and then it takes another 3 years to become a Canadian citizen.

An American can become a Canadian citizen and later as an Australian citizen as long as you comply with all the requirements.
