I am just looking for some ideas. I have a fair size kitchen and at one end is a large pantry with an arch. Of course there are no doors on it, (removed by the previous owners). I keep a lot of junk and stuff in there but it looks unslightly. Can anyone think of what I could put on the archway to hide the mess, that doesn't look too tacky. ( I can't afford doors at the moment)

So I guess an old shower curtain isn't going to meet your needs, how about a heavy drape, plain light pastel ?

Have someone "make" you a bar type swinging partial door out of lightweight wood. Paint the side facing your kitchen with chalkboard paint. Though the partial won't hide the entire pantry, it will detract you from it and the blackboard option creates a different focus.

You could hang two shutters to cover the door (like in a saloon), or a curtain on a tension rod.

How about a 3-paneled folding screen, or a nice curtain, or a beaded curtain.

There are bamboo beaded curtains in really neat designs.
