I mean if you look at today's society sex seems to be taken for granted by our society. Teens are having sex for the feeling and in their stage of life their relationship is only known as puppy love since we all know they will not stay with their partner for good.

I just turned 18 last month and I'm still a virgin and proud. My friends and past school mates all got laid when they got to college. Isn't sex suppose to be something special or sacred between two people? I feel as though no one gets my body, only my one love. So why do people see it as a must even if it means doing it with someone you don't know?

Thanks for reading.

I also hate how the older guys make fun of guys who haven't "got laid" yet. They think getting laid gives them grand title of being a true man. On the online games I play the guys all talk about sex as though girls are property...

Dear Fenrir.

I would like to compliment you on your stand on sex, since it is not easy to find people who think like you nowadays, specially males.

Yes, you are right.

Sex without a connection between the two people involved is cold, frivolous, and even disgusting.

Some people may question your masculinity, or say you're soppy, but don't let anyone ever bother you with their comments, whether they are male or female.

Be aware that even if those people don't come across difficult situations, such as unwanted pregnancies or sexual transmited diseases, they are affecting their self-esteem, and they will soon have a lot of emotional baggage.

So, stay that way.

And all the best to you.

It has become a bit of a status symbol on Halo3/WoW, yes, but dont worry about those people. I dont like the way that you refer to 'puppy love' as though its not real though. You have to love someone for the first time at some stage, yes? so why should any person be restricted from expressing their feelings for one another pyhsically. The reasoning that you should only have one sexual partner has been near obsolite for years now. I am in love with my first partner and I know that it wont last forever, but I feel that the physical expression of love is a euphoric expression of the most euphoric emotion.

Sex is quite fun when you're young, but it shouldn't become the most important element in a relationship.

There's nothing wrong with not having sex until you're older and the people who boast about it are probably the ones who aren't doing it at all!

When the right person comes along then you'll know it's right for you.

If you're looking to get some perspective on this messed-up world, you won't find it here.

"Isn't sex suppose to be something special or sacred between two people? I feel as though no one gets my body, only my one love."

I agree 100%. You only get one first. Don't waste it.

When you find someone who feels the same way you do on the subject (and whom you deeply love), marry them first, and then the two of you will have no tortured memories to mar what ought to be the most beautiful experience of your life.

I had seen a documentary on AIDS patients. I saw how they suffer and the pain they bear! After seeing that, whenever I think about sex, I get that image.

I had 3 relationships and made out a lot.

I had two wonderful opportunities for sex. One at one girls house when no one was around and the other was in the forest where we had gone for the college picnic.

If you are virgin by lack of opportunity, it can be demoralising.

But if you are virgin by choice, like me, then you are the proudest man on earth. You are the real man!

Good luck!

A lot of young people have sex to feel like they're 'cool' or respected by their peers. It takes a lot of self-respect to not feel like you have to have sex when faced by this pressure.

I waited until I was 21 and I am still happy ten years later that I waited until then. I'm sure you will be happy for the rest of your life that you waited until you met someone special to you.

Stop idolizing sex so much or you're going to be sorely disappointed when you actually do have it. It feels good, it's a lot of fun, and it can be very enriching in the context of a romantic relationship. However it's not the mystical, sacred experience that you're making it out to be.

To paraphrase Ferris Bueller, "you've built it up in your mind as the end-all and be-all of human experience" when it's not.

it is sacred. and it is best gift you ever give if you'll going to married. it is seems that he is so lucky if you are still virgin. but its ok because you can't control it. it is how you feels. even it is not your belief in the first place you can't avoid it. but it is important how you handle it. you should be responsible for what ever happens.
