Yes it has become a trend to flaunt this hollow knowledge to make a fashion statement. Not only on media but in everyday interactions many do it to create an impression about themselves. I also come across them at parties etc,. I stay quiet and listen only.
THE BEST IS WHEN IN A GROUP SOMEBODY SPEAKS & A GENUINE PERSON IS THERE. I GET TO READ/SEE THE FACE EXPRESSIONS AND KNOW THAT THE PERSON IS ABOUT TO BE DISCLOSED & WILL BE THE LAUGHING STOCK.
THE HIGHER ONE CLIMBS THE LADDER.....THAT PERSON WILL BECOME MORE & MORE QUIET & WILL FIND IMMENSE PLEASURE IN LISTENING & THIS CAN BE RECOGNISED (BY SOME) WHEN LOOKED AT THE SMILE ON THAT PERSONS FACE WHO IS JUST LISTENING.

Yes Gentleman it is even more spurious than fashionable. They are putting up a front to go along with the Mask of the person they believe society thinks they are.It is Appearance. In Reality they are someone else.Their religion and false talk of spirituality is just a part of the role of who or the person they wish to project to society. They are who are known as Hypocrites. They profess one thing but are in reality thinking another way. They are the first ones to point their finger at someone as the blame for anything that goes wrong. They are the False Believers that all Religions speak of.They are disbursed throughout society.I believe in many cases the worst perpetrators are politicians. Also people who are possessed with Greed and Self-Indulgence.They come first and everyone else for themselves. They have no clue what Altrusism means. For them everyday is Halloween.Beware of the back stabbers and hypocrites Gentleman, because they lurk in every segment of society.Your Pal larry m

Being religious and being spiritual are two different things, we normally assume that a religious person is spiritual too but thats not the case and oftentimes a person who follows religious rituals/beliefs doesnt know the true meaning behind them at all.
So your question is ambiguous too, it is a fashion for many people to show that their thinking is profound and reflects deep spiritual wisdom when in effect they are just using fancy language and a lot of religious terms to mask their ignorance.

None of us are really so spiritual that we can afford to forgo talking about spiritual matters.
Without my daily dose of "projecting as religious" I think I would fall into despondency and cease to try at all. I'm surely not as spiritual as the spiritual knowledge that I have. I mean, we all have spiritual books that we believe in, but does anyone live up to it all perfectly?
The point is, that in talking about it, thinking about it regularly, we begin to lift ourselves and each other a little higher, giving ourselves and others the power to act on higher thoughts, and also to make sense of it a little more.
Talking about God, faith, religion, spiritual things... it's all uplifting, and good for our souls. It really helps me to be more positive and to make, little by little, some personal progress.

Absolutely.
Religion should not be something passed down from generation to generation. Children should be presented with the facts and able to choose. The only reason that religions are still around is because parents brainwash their children into them from a young age, so these people grow up knowing nothing else and being one sided with out knowing what else is out there.

de@r gEnTLe m@n,
I totally agree with you.
Nowadays people have started taking religion very light and nowadays people are not giving that much of importance to religion.
Which is really very wrong. You can take anything very easy in life, but you really cant afford to take your religion for granted.
Each and everyone should be very much concerned and strong about their religion. Nor they and nor others should discriminate people on various grounds especially on religion.
Nowadays religion has become a fashion statement. So guys plz start taking your religion easy and plz try to follow your religion in the correct methods prescribed...tc...sweet dreamz...bye....

Those who are truly Christian, will use the Bible when answering Biblical questions.
Hebrews 4 v 12 says, "The word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit and of joints and their marrow and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart."
