Every community assessment is different. It depends on WHY you need the assessment. Do you need to know if they community needs a new elementary school? Do you need to know if they community could handle a flood that covered 50% of the area for a week? Do you need to know if women in the community are being appropriately served by government services? Do you need to know how much the disparity is between rich and poor? Do you need to assess the community's education or literacy rates?

I could go on and on. And I have. The point is, WHY do you need the community assessment? That will determine what the "major aspect" is.

Data is gathered through available statistics, government data, research-to-date, and your own interviews and records review.
