I keep seeing Muslims insisting how the whole world would live in peace if everyone converted to Islam.
That sounds way too good to be true, and when I see true news reports like the ones found here...
http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/
I wonder why these kinds of things only seem to be happening in Islamic countries, where the rule of the land is Sharia, and people are not allowed to preach any religion other then Islam.
According to so many Muslims here, countries such as USA and UK are breeding grounds for evil, because they are predominantly Christian.
If Islam is so peaceful, why do Islamic countries still have so much rape, murder, and violence?

people like Taimur might want to look up "mutawa" and "mutaween". They are the religious police which jail people for publicly practicing Christianity, stone people for using alcohol, arrest people for not closing their shop during prayer times... denial is lame.

Hey dude,
I am a Muslim and these are my opinions:
1) The Shia-Sunni conflicts are like any other religion conflicts. For example, between catholics and Protestants. But if there were good governments and people became more open to each other, then surely peace could be accomplished
2) What you are showing us on that site is not the result of following Islam but the result of a 3rd world people practising a religion. There are tons of Muslims in the west (like myself), do you ever hear of these things happening here. No, b.c. Muslims in the west had to accept a lot of things they might thought of as wrong and they learned that dealing with things physically never solves a problem...
3) I don't agree that there is a country that follows Sharia properly. For example, in Iran, women are forced to wear Hijab but on the other hand, they do all kinds of the stuff under the table (like drinking). It is not part of Islam to force religion on someone's will.
4) Murder in the U.S. is probably more popular than any Muslim country that is not in war (eg. Iraq).
5) Only god can answer your question!!! Mayne they could but maybe not... (and that is regardless of religion if u wanted to talk from History point of view)

I realize that is an ancient query, however considering that a number of the solutions had been furnished by means of Shia's, they've given their factor of view - I desired to set the list directly from the Sunni factor of view. a million. They did help him to anything quantity was once viable. Let me ask a counter query: If the prophet PBUH so hated Abu Bakr RA because the Shia's might have us think, why did he decide on to make the Hijra with him? Its transparent that the prophet picked his first-class buddy and closest confidante to be his associate in this most important travel - and that is there for all posterity to compare. two. It is obvious that the prophet PBUH didn't desire to *explicitly* rent a successor. The largest evidence of that is that If he had desired to, he might have performed it and we might'nt be speaking correct now. Its accurately seeing that the problem of resolution of the pinnacle of the Ummah was once to be a resolution of the Ummah (and no longer an appointment by means of the prophet), that he left it to the Ummah to make a decision. But he gave a few pointers like appointing Abu Bakr RA to steer the prayers. And the Ummah took the trace and appointed Abu Bakr RA Khalifa. three. Ghadir E Qum: You need to have an understanding of the occasions beneath which the Prophet PBUH stated what he stated. But permit me ask the next: Did Ali RA ever use Ghadir E Qum as a controversy for his being appointed the Khalifa? Did he ever say to Abu Bakr RA, "Wait a minute, the prophet PBUH appointed me the Khalifa in Ghadir E Qum!" I will have to be the Khalifa! Why did'nt someone else who was once reward in Ghadir E Qum ever make the argument. No such factor ever occurred even though it will have to have if we move by means of the Shia claims - it was once the logical factor for Ali RA to mention, correct? Why did'nt he say that? Why did'nt someone else? The reply is obvious - every person knew that by means of what he stated, the prophet had most effective supposed that Ali RA was once just about him and loved his complete religion and trust. This was once performed seeing that a few humans had expressed their reservations approximately the selections Ali RA had made as governor and complained to the prophet approximately it. four. Nowhere does the phrase Imam imply Ali RA within the Quran *explicitly*. The Quran is going to quality lengths to be *transparent* and *lucid*. It claims this for itself (as being a *transparent guide*) typically. If we're to hear the Shia's, why is the Quran being intentionally indistinct in this most important factor? The Shia's have created an workplace parallel that that of prophets, which they name Imamah - however there's *0* proof for the presence of such an tuition inside the Quran. Think approximately it, the first-class argument they've is verse five:five, that's this kind of stretch. five:five, although we furnish that it refers to Ali RA most likely does'nt argue for an tuition parallel to prophethood! five:five is within the plural (all folks who bow in Ruku, all folks who provide charity, no longer within the singular --- a unusual means to consult Ali RA on my own!)

I just said the same thing in another answer -- Islam world wide would just mean wars world wide. They can't even live together peacefully within their own countries!
Too scary to EVER allow it to happen!

The fight between Sunnies and Shiates are not religious fights. They are political fights over leadership.
The wars between Sunnies and Shiates only started when Iraq leadership fell down, so both parties are fighting over who gets to be the leader.
They are not fighting because of differences in religion.
