Dear Punter, part of the reason the Bible is considered to be historically accurate is that those who wrote it didn't gloss over the things that the patriarchs did.

Those who committed incest did so BEFORE the law of Moses. Therefore, at the time it was not unusual, and it was acceptable.

In ancient Egyptian mythology, the Pharoah always married his sister. There are many other societies at the time which were the same way.

So the Bible is not unusual in this regard. The stories reflect the times in which the events took place.

You can tell the Qur'an was written FAR afterwards because it does NOT reflect the times in which the events took place.

Um, you need to differentiate between reporting that something happened and condoning it. See the below-referenced page for a good article explaining incest in the Bible.
