I really wish I knew where to even start.
Alright, I make 6.50 an hour (plus tips) at an ice cream place..My boss is a neat freak and always wants the place in tip top condition. I spend tons of my time bending over back wards for this guy.. He throws temper tantrums like a child, talks about me behind my back and despite my efforts to try and talk to him, I am always wrong. To give you an idea of what kind of jerk he is.. His son was sick one day and called him to come pick him up from school, so my boss goes "great now im on my sons f##### schedule!". He continued to have a fit about how everyone is running the store except him and he is on everyone elses schedule instead of his own.
I can't quit.. I have no other job and no time to look for one. What should I say or do???? This is a man who's "Always right" and makes everyone else feel stupid. Thinks that he should be in control always..very OCD. *Sigh*

That's very common in the work place.
I would start by telling him preferably when hes in a good mood to stop using profanity. Hes probably like that for a reason he most likely has a lot of his own time and money in the business.
The only other thing you can do is just drive him "nuts" until he wears himself out and gets tired of being a jerk all the time.
But that's something that one needs to be skilled at breaking the boss in.

This is a great opportunity to learn how to handle difficult people. Learn how to handle this smuck in a creative manner such that you improve the environment. Do this often enough, and you will make a lot more money down the road.
I am not there, so I cannot tell you the specific action to take. Start by talking to the owner and ask why your manager is so stressed out....

As to the cleanliness thing, it's essential that any place serving and like of food be kept as spotless as possible because of local and state health department regulations. Health dept. inspectors can visit at any time unannounced. They just appear. So your boss's concern is legitimate. His behavior, however, seems a bit over the top. Just keep doing what you're doing. If he makes a fuss then ask him to be specific as to what he's complaining about.

you need a new job, or better yet, unionize the ice cream place. You'll get more money, more power, and more repect. Visit www.unitehere.org. They handle food service unions. Don't let the boss hear you talk about unionizing. he can fire you before it's in place. Organize outside of work.

He's mentally draining and emotionally unstable so that you'd need to realize this if you'd want to continue to work under his spell...Remember he's always right and he cannot hear you either...Everything you said wouldn't mean anything to him and he cannot change this attitude and mentality as well becuz he's incapable of dealing with his own emotions and taking it under control...So watch out...

you need to make time to get another job. this one is mentally draining, and making you depressed. i had a co-worker get so stressed out, she had to go see a therapist, and took time off of work because of it. she collected worker-mans comp due to the issues with the boss. you need to run as soon as you get another job. no ifs, ands, or buts about it. it is not a healthy work place.
