Nothing will happen. There are no required tests to take if you get stopped, unless you are referring to a possible DUI. If a DUI is what you are referring to, please rephrase your question, and I will respond accordingly.

did you read the forms when you got your license?

It clearly states that... getting a drivers license is a privledge and can be taken away for not complying with the rules and regulations... that means, when you get pulled over you must comply with dui tests,,,

lets say you get pulled over and dont comply with the tests
The police officer obviously felt that you might be intoxicated or inebriated,, so he had you perform some basic tests,, and if you refuse, he will take you to jail, for DUI and then have a breatalyzer conduct a test,, if you refuse that, well then draw blood,,, or get a warrant for blood. Either way you are arrested and going to jail,, which is on your record, that you were arrested

Now when you got your license you agreed to the rules and regulations,, which meant they can take you PRIVELDGE away... so you refused you just lost your license, automatically for up to 1 year,, that is why the police officer takes it and turns it in with the documents,,, bye bye license

so dont be a dummy and drive drunk and if you do get stopped don't be an idiot and say no to the tests... it is better to take your chances with passing a test than lose your license for refusal taking simple tests

Most states, when giving you a driving license, impose a duty upon you to submit to sobriety tests. If you refuse, you automatically lose your license for six months. Also keep in mind that this is an administrative act not a judicial one. You agreed to the test or the suspension of driving privileges when you took the license. No court hearing is necessary for you to lose the license.

Some years ago, an officer in my Department, arrested a fellow for DUI. The driver refused any testing. The court found the guy not guilty of the DUI. However, since he refused the test, his license was suspended anyway. He tried going back to court to get it re-instated but lost that one.

The strategy for refusing the test used to be that it was better to lose the license and possibly beat the charge. At least there was no DUI on your driving record resulting in large fines and huge increases of insurance premiums. But that was before dash cameras. Now, it simply is not a good idea at all.

It depends on what tests. For a DUI test whether it be a Breathalyzer test or a sobriety test you will be arrested and brought down to the station for the test anyway, and in most cases you will lose your license for at least 6 months while going through the legal system.

anyone who refuses tests in my stops fails those tests. I even tell them...it is like high school. if you refused to take a test in high school did you pass it? so, they refuse all the tests they go to jail. if they refuse all the tests but will take the p.b.t., I look at them for possible drug use. it has never worked out in their favor yet.

They will charge and arrest you with the offense as if you failed the test. Some states the cops have the right to detain you until you take at least one of the tests.

Refusal to take field sobriety tests is probable cause to be arrested for drunk driving.

A stiffer penalty or more fines will be imposed for refusal to obey required tests after being pulled over.
