I don't miss smelling like a cigarette. My hair and clothes always smell good now- and I'm sure my breath is better!

I think smokers forget how much time they lose in life-looking for a cigarette, or a lighter; going to get cigarettes, going outside to smoke...

In terms of beauty? As a former smoker, and a girl, I can say that smokers don't look "pretty" (or "cool") smoking.
Huddled up around the entrance to buildings to stay warm or dry in bad weather is NOT pretty.
The lines that form around the mouth from puffing, and the elasticity in the skin goes bad. NOT pretty.

As a nurse on a surgical floor, I can tell you the thing that made me quit from even smoking "occasionally" is that
non-smokers heal faster, with less complications that smokers do.
Not everyone believes they'll get lung cancer, but chances are good that you'll have a surgery in your life-
C-section, carpal tunnel, breast enlargement, or reduction, appendectomy, hysterectomy...these are all COMMON surgeries that nobody thinks about, until it's their turn.

Maybe you know all of that...but I find people who don't think of smoking THAT way...and I can see the information clicks
in their head, and they begin to think about quitting.......

running, breathing easy, smelling good, white teeth, spending that $4-6 on something useful rather than a pack of cigarettes. i could go on.
