yes the Christians do like to spout out about things without researching what they are talking about. they think what they see on tv and in movies is real. they hear pagans, wiccans, witches their mind race to the wicked witch of the west.

many of them condemn halloween as pagan and the same people will put up a christmas tree that is equally pagan in origin

It's not just you. There are a whole lot of "Christians" who don't want to take the time to study the Bible and would rather let their pastor tell them what is right. They have belief in their religion and not in God, then they feel they should toss around their religions "catch phrases" to "enlighten" other people.

The phrases that I don't like to use as a Christian are "Born Again", "Saved", "You are going to hell" (aka eternal torment), "once saved always saved", and there are others that I avoid... not because they aren't true but because they have become so overused the original point has been lost.

Well, I know what you mean - and I agree.

We are certainly "dumbing down" in our society aren't we?

A high school education and 2 years of college should be mandatory - followed by 2 years of government service of some sort.

Education will cure the stoopid, fer sure. And, a look at the real world wouldn't hurt, either.

I think it is because of all the Jesus Camps and such that Evangelize to kids in the 12 to 18 year old range . They come out trying to be be preachers for the "good news" without really having learned many facts , just prayers and songs . You wind up with Christians "all riled up with no place to go ! " So they just spurt out their rantings at whomever is within earshot .

That's with any religion. There are half ars religious people everywhere!!

But you shouldn't be concerned about these people.
You should be concerned about yourself, and what's best for you. Being concerned about what others are doing slows down your process in life.
