As for Tony's contract, he's signed through 2009. I've got a friend in the JGR shop that said that Tony will stay with JGR as long as he has a decent year. I have seen copies of his contract. He has no opt out clause.

I heard somewhere that he has a opt out in his contract..I'm sure it will be a major topic this week on his sirus radio show..Its gonna be hard seeing him in a Toyota, but seeing him leave JGR will be even harder..Maybe thats why RCR hasn't signed a 4th team yet.. Childress knows Smoke is going to be looking for a ride.. I'm sure this is going to be a huge topic in the off season....

good question after yesterdays now see if you can fix it comment we all know he aint happy, he loves his chevys and is he gonns find a team that can get the cars ready in time or just tough out one more year with Gibbs as per his contract??? we will all have to stay tuned for right now no ones saying fact

He's staying to drive Toyotas for Joe Gibbs Racing.
He'll be just fine.

I don't know what all is in Tony's contract. Jr had a Chevy only clause in his. Budweiser had a Jr only clause in their contract with DEI. Tony Jr had an out in his contract if Jr left. If Tony had that contract he could leave with Zippy and Home Depot.
Does Tony's contract have any of these?
