Does a co-signer appear in a plate when the plate is checked in the computer by cops?

Co signers are only on the financial end of the car deal.... you have the vehicle registered in your name and your insurance policy...however if you fail to make payments they will hold the co-signer liable for your debt.....

No. The car is registered by the person buying the vehicle. This will be the only name the DMV has. The co-signers name is only on the loan papers.

Co-signer is the person who guarantees the loan. They are NOT automatically a co-owner of the car. If they have no ownership interest, their name doesn't show up anywhere, except the loan papers.

Wow...no. Not typically. It's whoever the vehicle is registered to on the license registration. That should be in your glovebox--whip it out and see who's on there.
