I just purchased a plasma today and was wondering will a HDMI Cable improve the quality of watching SD channals? Im using the red, yellow, white cable right now. Will it be a big improvement if I switch to the HDMI cable?

HDMI is like Lamborghini and coaxial is like a corvette, there both good but HDMI gives you much better quality sound and speed. Your Plasma comes with both HDMI and coax. You coax from the wall will connect to any of the following; then you can use HDMI to connect to the TV. DVD players, Blue-ray, Sat receiver, Cable box, Stereo system with Surround sound, if you have any of does have a HDMI hook up in the back then you can use your HDMI connection. Hope that helps you...........Good luck.

It can give you a 20% jump in video quality.

You are using the lowest possible quality type of video connection: Composite (the Yellow RCA plug).

Going to SVideo CAN give you a 20% jump if your source is already separated like a DVD player or a premium station from a CATV box or a Sat receiver.

I would imaging HDMI would give you the same improvements that SVideo would.

PS: Get real HD service or put up an antenna. You will be shocked at how much better it looks.
