I am agnostic. I feel that Jesus Christ's teachings were good overall and that he was trying to affirm the faith after the priests of the era had corrupted the word of GOD to suit their own purpose. Sadly, Jesus failed and now people who call themselves "Christian" continue to pervert the spirit of Christ's message by worshipping the messenger, engaging in Idolatry, and pretty much making shyt up. It's truly tragic.

I don't disbelieve that a man named Jesus Christ once walked the earth, or that he was a kind person with a lot of charisma. He may have been very wise too, teaching people love and charity. I think he became a martyr to others after his death, as many great people do. The martyrdom became a tradition, known as the christian religion, which has affected the world in both positive and negative ways.

I think that Jesus was a pretty cool dude with some brilliant ideas about life, the universe, and everything. There's something about someone expounding on the benefits giving a crap about other people that somehow makes me happy in my soul. It's just so damn contraire. Having gone on a few spiritual quests in which I have run into the bloke fairly consistently, I can vouch for his coolness level 100%. He's the most incredible being I have ever met. Good sense of humor, too.

His teachings, when followed, do a whole lot of good; unfortunately, the fan club managed to screw it up quite badly along the way.

May the thumbs down cripple me with lulz.

I think the way I do based on my own personal beliefs (i am an atheist). I think that the teaching of Jesus have effected some people in a really good way, even if I don't believe in Jesus, i think some of the moral values taught in Christianity are really good and they have helped turn a lot of peoples' lives around. However I think that in a few senses it has gone to far when people feel the need to push their beliefs of Jesus on to people like me who are happy, content, and moral people who just don't believe in it or need religion.

He contradicts himself, but for the most part, his teachings were a step in the right direction compared to Judaism. The problem is that Paul got in on the act and perverted the teachings of Jesus with his own misogyny and hatred of sex.

Why do I think the way I do? I've studied religion, the bible, etc. and found that Wicce is a better fit for me.

I don't think Jesus' teachings have affected the world - I think the hatred of Paul has destroyed the peace all over the world.

First, I think that the world would be a far better place if the self-proclaimed "christians" would actually follow the teachings of Jesus, instead of focusing on how he died and being self-righteous towards others.

Second, I think the way I do because I think. I neither blindly swallow things or live my life in fear of some imaginary cosmic retribution (ie. hell).

And lastly, I think that one decent thing that his teaching's have done is to get people to think about the less fortunate at least during one time of the year.

Peace,
Jenn

Jesus taught alot of virtures and it's not a bad thing. Religion itself has it's good and bad points. Overall, religion is supposed to teach good morals, etc.

His teachings have done good and bad all over the world. Too many wars are fought because of Jesus, God, Allah and etc. Too many children are molested because of Jesus.

I think the way that I do because it is the truth.

i believe jesus walked on earth once, and will come down to earth before the world come to an end and die as a human prophet after his last mission. jesus is not god's son, and is not doing martyr thing because jesus is now still alive, just not on the face of earth anymore. jesus is not the last prophet, but the last of prophets to die. jesus taught his people the right teachings, the ones from his god, but the versions of historic part of him that were passed and are passing down to the next generation is not quite accurate.

this is what i believe. i believe jesus is one of god's sincere messengers, not the last prophet and definitely not god's son. his teachings are all from god, so it must be all about love and leading a good life, but the teachings are only completed with the next (last) prophet's.

While they provide moral standings, I don't see how they provide any evidence that he actually existed.

I believe the way I do because my parents raised my to think freely. Honestly, looking at every religion that says "Believe this or go to Hell (or whatever that religion's word for "Hell" is)," I'm pretty comfortable as an Agnostic.

His teachings fall in place with my first point, but it's too bad people are fanatical to the point of ignorance, as well.

I think that Jesus' teaching make a lot of sense. He talked alot of love and such.

Id say that some people are better for it, although he's not the only prophet to peach love. so its hard to say if the world would be worse off with or without him.
