For some reason, mozzies keep eating me alive, when I'm asleep.
The only problem is that last night only my face, neck, and feet were hanging out, so they are all covered in bites.
The ones on my face especially are very swollen, and look horrible.
Can somebody please tell me how to get rid of the swelling.
Or stop the mozzies eating me.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

HI fellow mozzie victim.

Apparently mosquito's attack us more than other people as we haven't got enough vitamin B. The common sources here in oz are beer and Vegemite. I So drink more beer.don't like either so i started to take vitamin B tablets. They really helped. If u get attacked really bad take an anti histamine. It reduces swelling but most importantly it stops the itching. There are mosquito coils you can burn but there are also plug in repellents for mosquito's.
If you are outside at dusk stay away from any water and wear long sleeved tops and pants. You can also spray yourself with a mozzie repellent which i have found very good as well. You can also get cream from your local chemist to put on the bites and stops itching. You can also get sun cream that are mozzie repellents as well. You can also use calamine lotion and baking soda on the bites.

Good luck.

First try prevention.
A mosquito net for your bed.
They are usually less than $20 in Canada, and probably less in the US.
They hang from the ceiling and completely encircle the bed.

To fix them after you get them, I use 'Apis Mellifica 30CH' which is available in some health food stores.
It can be bought online from Homeocan or Boiron, here in Canada.
A gel is also available.
Ask how to use it where you buy it.
It is best to see a homeopathic doctor for advice.
If you take too much, it will make it much worse, so be careful.

Are you sure it is mosquitoes and not fleas or bed bugs?

Try putting some baking soda on the area. It helps with the itching. Take an antihistamine for the swelling. Use ice.

Don't wear perfume. Shower before you go to bed.

But check out that what is biting you is what you think it is.

Apple cider vinegar is good for the itch.
I've heard that Visine is good for the redness. Never tried it but...
Anyways, soak a cottonball with the cider and hold it on the bite.
Nothing like mozzy netting!

Yeah. You take like a tablespoon of baking soda and mix it with a few drops of water, make it like a paste...then rub it on to the bites. It cools them down and stops the itching for a little while.

Neosporin will stop the itching, but you will have to wait until it heals.

Onion juice will prevent the mosquitoes from biting you, but it might smell a bit.

I am sure that there are other remedies to prevent the skeeters from biting, but I know from experience that onion juice works.
