When I was in Jerusalem a couple of years ago people throw their toilet paper in a bind next to the toilet, something about the toilet paper clogging up the old and narrow sewerage pipes. Well think that is a good idea for # 1 and 2. But then again I think it is the #2 that causes the most pollution and not the toiletpaper. When I was in Italy the guide said the ancient Romans had no toiletpaper but they used seasponges which their poor slaves had to wash after the master was finished doing his business.........well if you really want to argue the point, using toiletpaper itself is bad for the environment, because of all the trees that are used to make the paper.

were you born in 1500's?

1.what to do with the toilet paper?
- it is used to wipe the anus after disposing human waste (manure)

2.Do you flush the toilet paper or do you throw it in the trash?

- for proper disposal, toilet papers should not be flushed 'coz if you do.... it's messier than putting it into the trash. never mind the smell! as if you don't dispose your own everyday...

that is a good question.....human waste both in the trash and in our water systems is environmentally hazardous.....i will tell you what....i have stopped using toilet paper.....i got a used flannel sheet and cut it up into 4 inch by 4 inch squares and rinse them when i am done and put them into a little can by the toilet....i wash them in a mesh bag in the washer....i have been doing this for four years.....this is better for the environment because most of our toilet paper comes from trees from the rainforest....it is processed and bleeched...the bleech also goes in our water ways......i promise that if you wash your hands properly, nothing is gross about this process.......please help start the wipey revolution........for the future of our planet.....i have gotten many friends to do it already....all are satisfied.....also, you could get a composting toilet....look into it...the info is out there

flush it. the water helps it to break down faster, and what ends up making it to the treatment plant eventually gets ground up and put into a digester with all the other solids and turned into fertilizer. if you just toss it in the trash, you are also tossing numerous bacteria and other things that can make people really sick if, say, it leaches into the local drinking water supply.

If you are really concerned about being more environmental regarding toilet paper, just try using less of it. By throwing it in the trash wouldn't lessen the environmental impact but rather increase the odour in your home. Not to mention lowering the satiation level in your home. Try using water and a cloth. And you are not welcome at my home, fella.

Due to sanitation purposes, it must be flushed.
Perhaps you can use a brand such as Seventh Generation, which is more environmentally friendly.

The poo needs to go down the toilet to a land far far away from your trash can. Trash can poo is smelly, gross and unhealthy.
