I guess I will share mine. Uhmm I used to give some sermons at our church (100-200 people or so) when I was 16-18 and when I was 20 I got into some big legal trouble. Instead of turning their back on me the church got two cards, one for me and one for my family, offering their support and love. This really meant a lot. I kind of expected them to hate me and call me a hypocrite or whatever but they showed support.

The greatest act of kindness is when a University President stepped out and resigned his office in order to take care of his wife with Alzheimer's disease. Many advisors told him to just hire a personal care worker to care for his wife and continue on with his important position. This man took his vows seriously. His commitment to his wife even during this dark time, was a tribute of his love for her.

The greatest act of kindness anyone can do concerning religion is disabusing people of religion's claims. Like, for instance, the idea that sending you cards of support means they care, when it could just as easily be evidence that they don't want to lose members/donations/control.

Never assume the motives of churches or their members are pure.

I'm a 16yr old teenager and I've been in a lot of crap! drugs, sneaking behind my parents back all day long, rebellious and some other stuff... I went to this thing called dare 2 share in 2006 hosted by a man named Greg Stier He gave a long story on his life similar to mine. He was on stage and he had my ear. I felt like i could never get out of my pit or escape my problems, but he said if you have ever lived a life near as bad as mine God can save you... God can save you if you've been worse! he talked with me a long time about how I could get out, be free from my sin... Finally I just wanted God and i told him that. We prayed and i told God i was a sinner and needed him to guide me! I've lived my life for Christ ever since that day. Now for sure I've messed up a heck of a lot of times since then, but I still have my God to help me through every day...one... by... one.

Now for all of you out there going to bag on me. Say what your going to say and think what your going to think but know this. Jesus Christ saved my life and I will be living in glorious heaven for all eternity with my bro's and sister's in Christ...

THe most kind and most "christian" person I know of is former President Jimmy Carter.

He simply does good work quietly, privately, with no bells and whistles. He is truly a good man and faithful in his religious beliefs. And, his is a man of good cheer.
