If you don't see any freezer burn on it, it may be OK. It won't be bad - like make you ill - if it tastes OK. The problem I see you might have is if there is freezer burn - then you will see it, smell it, and taste it. And I'd hate to have you take the time to prepare the turkey for celebration and find part-way through that the frostbite smell comes out.

Just to be safe you might get a new one and eat the old one when you just fix it for yourself for no special occasion. Then if it's bad, no big loss.

Even frozen turkey and meat is only good for about 6 months.
