I now believe that god is giving us secret messages in our dreams. I am making a dream diary to keep track of my dreams.
Should i also write down my nightmares? I get too scared of them and i'm not sure if i should. My last nightmare i had was about Freddy Krueger chasing me.

I'd write down everything. Whether it's God or not, your dreams, good and bad, are important, and can help you understand what's going on in your life.

You and I have a lot more in common than I thought. The last time I dreamed of Freddy was in 2001. Have you been watching to many Freddy movies? Nightmare on Elm street movies were too scary for me to bear.
What kind of God do you believe in? Are you a Christian?
I don't like to keep track of my nightmares. I only want to keep track of my good dreams that I've longed to come true.

If you're getting messages in dreams, then you should also believe that you're getting messages in your nightmares, although sometimes they can be caused by spicy foods...
But a dream journal is ok - you might be able to begin to notice patterns that are occurring, and in noticing that may gain some personal insights.

I think that a dream journal is a good idea but I would suggest that you keep a prayer journal. God may show you things in you dreams but he demostrates himself by answering your prayers. Regardless of what you write in, keep believeing and God Bless.

Yeah, you need to realize they are the same. Your nightmares have more to tell than the happy dreams.
And if you face and examine your bad dreams they will cease to bother you.

You can write these down, but some dreams actually are just our subconsious talking to us, nightmares are usually just are deep fears.

I just read an article in Psychology Today that stated that our dreams are our way of honing our instincts. Without dreaming we cannot function properly in real life. Not an answer, really, I just thought it was interesting.
