If someone tells us we are sick, we can make ourselves sick believing it. Can a person not behave like a "demonic entity" if he is told enough that he is inhabited by said entity?

Alot of demonic possession is just mental illness, although suggestion does help it along. Look up some of the you tube videos by Darren Brown, suggestion is real, and very powerful if done to the right people. (some people are alot more suggestible then others )

I think power of suggestion and demonic possession are 2 very different things. Both possible though. I do think that power of suggestion could convince someone that they were possessed. Have you seen that show called Mind Control? That guy is pretty good. Some of his stunts are kind of silly but some are really impressive. If anyone has power of suggestion down pat it's the dude in that show.

First of all, that person would have to already believe that there was such a thing as a "demonic entity" to begin with. If they did, then their thinking was short-circuited at an early age & it would be difficult to get through to them to allow their mind to STOP believing in an illusion of the worst kind.
One way to do this is to get the person to RESPECT all life forms wether they be demonic or angelic. This is also referred to as negative & positive energy. The person needs to find a balance between the two worlds & their belief of good & bad. Whatever you do, don't let them start to take medications for it or it will only get worse & they will be in worse shape than they were before their brain cells were altered & numbed. These days the real "demons" all seem to have a degree at mental hospitals where religious zealots have taken over the command posts of what they refer to as "mental health"...nothing healthy about what most of these faith based hospitals are doing to people.

True demonic possession is very rare in western countries. If you've ever seen the movie "The exorcist" you've seen a pretty accurate depiction of actual possession, according to some priests who have been involved in actual exorcisms. This goes way beyond the power of suggestion.

It's hard not to believe in the power of suggestion, the evidence is overwhelming. For demonic possession to exist, demons would have to exist--and we've never found anything demon. In fact, what we found instead of demons were germs. Tiny microscopic bacteria and viruses which caused sickness. Then we discovered mental imbalances and that explained psychological problems. Demons have been long out of the equation.

I believe that a demon can possess someone if the person believes in their fears & confess their fears. This actually opens the door to demon possession sometimes.

Just like speaking in faith Gods promises & victory. We reap what we sow. (The words we sow.)

Many times we speak in faith our fears. And those fears are believing the devils lies. So? When a person believes accusations against them that they may have heard yrs & yrs, & then say believing it, "Devils posses me & I am evil." That opens the door. So? You have a point.

But the where there are Christians, there is victory over devils. Because Jesus said that those who have faith will cast out devils by the authority of Jesus Name. So? You don't actually see obvious demon possessed people. Demons have to listen to Jesus.

But sometimes people are verbally abused by these types of accusations even when they are little children. So, these Children don't know how to get the victory over the abuse.

A clear description of a demon possessed person is the man in the cave who screamed & ran around naked & cut himself & no one could keep him chained. Jesus visited this man. And the demons screamed out of the man answering Jesus, "We are legion, because we are many. Don't send us to the abyss already! Send us into those pigs!". So? Jesus did & the pigs didn't have any power of suggestion tacticts used on them. But the pigs felt awful & ran over the cliff, into the sea & drowned.

Absolutely - guilt, repression, suggestion can all create behavior that might be interpreted as demonic possession, but isn't.

It's not really a good idea for an unstable person to be around people who believe in such things. Even if you think they are real, that should never be suggested to someone who isn't stable.

sure, but not only that....the person also gets a ton of attention....everyone wants to be special...special to god, their friends, their associates, they want to stand out.....while this is an odd way, if you think about it...for whatever length of time you are before a church getting your demon taken out, you are the center of attention. Afterwards, everyone wants to help you and make sure you are ok and ask what it was like and how you coped. That is why you will often hear of people having demons 're-enter' them...so they can repeat the cycle all over again.

the angels that were kicked out of Heaven are real, and invisible.
The Good Angels are too!

Yes, it is possible for the Soul to invent a "Demonic Character" for the person---but the evil angels would try to Ride In On Top of That and start Influencing that Person too, for Real.

How could someone be told that they're possessed before they show it? The power of suggestion, or the nocebo effect, is powerful, but not precognizing.
