You are so accurate. I don't like how many people on here bash atheists. A debate is one thing but getting personal is another. These people are not doing the will of God. God loves you even if you don't believe he is. True Christians are suppose to love other people, regardless of their beliefs.
I have been rather stern with my answers about Catholicism but I have always said, I don't hate the Catholic, I hate the religion. There is a difference. I may not agree with atheism and might get testy when debating but I never make it a personal attack. It is just debating the theology.

Christian till I die, but then again part of being a Christan is loving your neighbors no matter there beliefs or feelings so if Christians are being mean to atheist then there basically doing the wrong thing thought. I never get people who are Christan that love other christens one sec then hate everyone that doesn't feel how they feel the next. Being a Christan is about loving the fellow people no matter what because if u believe then wouldn't they still be children of god. Just as picking on a fathers children your picking on God's children. To sum that up Christan that are hating are christens...I am a proud Christan and like everyone regardless of beliefs.

a great form of folk have a great form of faith and no faith, and others have a stable faith yet no faith. some Christians look to place down atheists as an ungainly attempt at evangelism... as though attacking somebody's ideals is the thank you to win them over! As for stereotyping as Christian/Catholic haters, some atheists cope with those of with a stable faith as deluded Neandertals, which does no longer bypass away room for clever communication the two. you assert you haven't any longer any faith. Does this propose you have made a unsleeping decision, or is it which you in elementary terms have not felt the %? i do no longer experience any hostility on your question. i'm hoping no person throws any your way.

I am so sorry that someone who called themselves a Christian was mean and hateful to you--I apologize for their behavior, and respectfully ask you to keep in mind that Christianity is just like anything else in this world--some people do it right, and some people do it wrong. I would never be hateful to you, but would in fact, as you request, pray for you. I am curious though that you would threaten someone with reprisals from a God you claim doesn't exist. Could you be one of those three in four atheists who would fail a lie detector test if you were asked about your beliefs? God bless. :-)

I think God loves all of us believers or not believers. Life is about respecting our selves and others and just having the love become one with us. Some religous groups have a grudge against atheist or other religious groups. Hatred just isn't the answer to peoples differences, it just hurts people and causes more conflict. Love is the key along with acceptance. I truly believe that.

so you know He is watching doesn't that mean you believe or are you just saying that because we tell you this is what we believe and you are right of course. I am not an atheist and I don't think any less of those of you who say you are, no one can make you believe in something you don't or make you do things you really don't want to. you have to stay true to who you are in all things. many atheists don't hate us either but there will always be those that don't fully understand and fear makes some lash out at what they don't understand others will take a lets see approach and keep their minds open for possibilities of finding out the real truth.

It's about time you guys stood up for yourselves. I have had it with these people, Christians, and their condescending belief that because they read the bible they and interpret it as they see it. Whether or not you are a believer or not, at least you have the since to see through some of the poise attitudes. Won't they be surprised when you guys get to heaven before they do. I remember very well a scripture in the Bible that Jesus said, there will be those in that day that will say, didn't we do many mighty works in your name? Didn't we cast out devils? Didn't we heal the sick and raise the dead? He then said, depart from me I never knew you, you workers of iniquity. What happened to, thou shalt not judge. Love thy enemy's. Pray for those that despitefully use you, and on and on and on.
I can say this with conviction, because I just had to eat a barrel of crow, and it's still stuck in my throat. Shame on ME!

You refer to yourself as an atheist yet remind me that "he is watching". I always thought that atheists did not believe that.
Anyways, I am a Christian who does not hate atheists. I will be happy to pray for you if you like. I feel that I have to focus on my own issues before I can judge others. Once I am perfect then I can decide the problems with others. When will I be perfect? Never

Sincere Christians are not haters they are just defending their beliefs. Why is it when honest hearted questions are posed to Christians that Atheists have to rudely answer and name call. These comments by Atheists have been notorious on here for months.

First, not all Christians are crazy bigots who run around beating people with their bibles.
My family is Catholic, strict Catholic, and I was raised in a Catholic home. We went to church and said grace and had prayers. Now Im a big girl and can make my own choices, and I'm agnostic.
Never once has my family given me a hard time about it. My grandmother has always said it's not a Christians job to force others to be Christian, that they should never preach to others. That you should just enjoy your faith and follow your beliefs and let God do the final judging.
That being said, my family gives me freedom to be agnostic because I give them the freedom to be Catholic.
Some (SOME not all) Atheists like to push buttons and cause drama. Whine when someone says God and question everyones beliefs. They demand proof God exists and then cry about being force fed someone else's faith when the equally stubborn Christians offer it.
Whatever, me, Im agnostic. I wash my hands of both groups. But I just think let people do what they want. You dont wanna believe in God, fine, don't. If you want to, hey, that's ok, too.
Anyways, Ive gone in a tangent. What I've meant to say is: People dont hate atheism. They hate know it all, in-your-face atheists who make it a point to drag down their beliefs.
That being said; if you're Atheist, you dont believe God is watching how Christians treat you, and you know it. Stop using their God to shake the intangible parental finger at them.
