That depinds upon the individual but about 6 to 12 is the norm.

OK YES YOU CAN and SAFELY! It does depend on your commitment and to your original weight. I lost 70lbs in 60days and 94 lbs in 90 days and now have lost 156Lbs since March 07. So I know it can be done and I have not felt this good in 20 years. You must make some changes and use excercise as a component. But the method I used is simple. Cleanse the body and replenish with great nutrition. Weight will be the issue in the background compared to what you gain!

Depends on how much overweight you are but the normal is no more than 2 pounds a week. More than that keeps you from getting proper nutrition and vitamins. If you are obese you will lose more than 2 pounds a week and be ok but you would have to be very obese. 60 pounds in 4 months is WAY TOO MUCH. You could damage internal organs by losing too much too fast. I knew of a person who got a hole in her liver from losing so much so fast. Better to take it slow.

If you're very overweight, then it could be done. But if losing 60lbs is going to put you at your goal weight, then no, you need to plan for it to take much longer.
