The flood story is obviously a myth. I figured that out even as a child.

The Flood is in many cultural myths, including Native American. It's just not Christians. I would think that continental drift brought the animals to where they are and nature took its toll on their survival.

The Bible doesn't give the answer unless we realize that as humanity spread out so did animals. But they're probably just the domesicated ones. The Word is reliable, but it's not scientific. What I'm saying is that the whole scientific "philosophy" began in ancient Greece and it's usefulness is to understand the world through human observation and record keeping. While God uses human observation and record keeping in the Bible so we can understand Him, the end results are very different: knowing God vs. understanding the world through observation. So the Bible doesn't explain everything like scientific literature because that's not the purpose of the Bible. It's two different philosophies. Hope this helps. Try researching creation science, also, if you want to know more.

Do you know if the original plate of the entire earth was still together when everyone left the ark? did you know that there is the penninsula off Alaska that is a reason most migration made the way to the North and South American continents? What other so far and away places are you talking about that animals can not make it? Did you know that many animals were not from their original "homes" but were actually traded from many different countries withen the last millenia?

Dude,get real.

God Bless you and guide you into His Truth.

gen 10-25 niv two sons were born to Ebner, one was peleg because in his time the earth was divided. So the the Continental drift theory has so biblical backing .after the flood the land mass was basically one large Continent. and the animals roamed all over it ,when the earth was devided some were on one side of the water and some one the other .thats why certain continents have different animals.

Genesis...........
History migration.........of animals / fowl / beasts
and even today animals cross vast wastelands to get to other places.......Animals are smart and are creation of God and God as he does man..moves animals to where he sends them........and its by that flood animals fossils where found through out the world sea animals on mountain tops....land animals found in sea rocks in the debt of the ocean
Thus showing even the more Gods Word is True........and the Flood was real........
GOD sent the animals forth into the world....and the GOD who Created them by HIS spoken Word....is he not also able to create the More.........
and it says in the bible " had all been wrote down what He had done , there would not be enough places to put it all "

Commen sense and Natures creation of God speaks for itself...watch the History channel or the Animal channel..read Migration of animals........through History vast animals have lived in places man has said it was impossiable " but as it is written" with GOD ..ALL things are possiable "

definite the flood did ensue! i stay in an area the place there have been lakes yet all of them dried up because of fact its Arizona. sooner or later whilst jogging my buddies and that i got here across countless neat fosils that probable would desire to of by no ability been right here. the 1st one is a turtle shell and its fairly neat, yet turtles stay in lakes so whats the great deal? the subsequent fossil we stumbled apon a fosil of one of those clams or oysters. ultimately the main neatest fosil we ever got here across replaced right into a great rock and in a sprint pocket hollow of this rock there replaced right into a suitable casing of a seahorse! this discovery of ideas is pleasing because of fact in the wasteland ur greater in all probability to locate bones of livestock and different land creatures, however the seahorse proves that there definately replaced right into a flood. as u have been speaking on the subject of the sediment layers there is no thank you to actual coach that there replaced right into a flood because of fact of those layers. my reason is because of fact the earth variations plenty that we haven't have been given any theory what it exaclty gave the impact of 1000's of years in the past. that's brought about with the aid of earth's organic destructions like earthquakes, volcano's, tornado's, huricanes, and so on... desire this permits and God be with u.

Some Christians believe in a global flood. Other Christians believe that the flood was a regional flood (the Hebrew text of the Old Testament/ Bible does not necessitate a global flood).

The flood was before the world was separated. After the flood, the people got together and decided to build a tower to Heaven. "So the Lord scattered them abroad from there..."
Genesis chapter 11; it's the chapter after the flood occurred.

Congratulations: now you understand why so many Christians understand that it wasn't the scientific accuracy of many Biblical stories which is important, but rather the MORAL of the story. The Bible is a book which tries to teach moral vaules, not to describe science.
