Well, redstrawberry fields (I can spell your name how I want too), God is a He. He follows the rules He set down for the rest of us on Earth. Mary was impregnated by God, so He MUST be a "he." I'm sure a lot of people are going to offer a bunch of complicated explanations, but don't over think it.

Hahahaha! A Misspeller with Guts!
I like that!
GOD is The Creator:
1.Life
2.Light
3.Love
4.A Flamning Fire
The Creator is Intelligent Energy BIG TIME!!!
Then, The Creator made HIMSELF a Human Body to Live in and Created us in That Image and Likeness.
The Creator is WAY Above Human Beings (Male, Female).
The Creator is a Human Being too!!!
See?
WE were Created Human Beings, not CREATORS!!!

I believe god is an "IT". The whole thing about us being created in his image comes from the bible and I don't believe everything that's in the bible. There is no way god made us to look like him. For all we know, he may not have a body and be made of pure energy. I believe the environment and evolution made us look the way we do. Our survival and our fall all comes from adapting and not being able to adapt in our environment. One thing's for sure, no other extraterrestrial speciec would be able to survive on Earth, remember "War Of The Worlds"? That's my two cents on that... and you can spell god however you want.
Peace.

If you really want to know more about God, read the Holy Bible. I suggest you get a New Living Translation, which is written in plain modern English.

Since the Bible reports that "man" was made in God's image, and Genesis records the first man as being named Adam, I am assuming God is a he.

I don't think God has a Gender. I think He is Androgynous.
and you don't have to be like that about the Capital G on God. Is just common courtesy.

I don't believe God, or Goddess, or Spirit, or whatever name you wish to place on it, is male or female. I Think there are many names for the God and they are all one. I believe that we are all manifestations of God, from the lowliest germ to the highest form of life. We are the body of God, we live in him, on her, with him, she is us, we are him. Everything is connected in this web of life, everything linked to everything else, nothing is less than another in the eyes of God--OUR eyes. God is not some spirit OUT THERE, God is imminent and present in every atom of everything and every one.We and all of the Universe, we are God.And untimately, we must answer to God--to ourselves. We must take responsibility for what we are, not blame God, or do what we want, and then ask God for forgiveness, or take care of us. We must assume the burden of responsibility for our own actions, and this is the most difficult thing of all.

God definitely has to be a man... why else would they portray him with a long white beard... plus those manly hands, and strong erect index finger, that are always doing the smiting...
