Jesus was able to debate scripture with the high priests and pharisees of the temple at the age of twelve. It is presumed he could read and write. He also wrote on the ground when confronting the crowd trying to stone the woman caught in adultery. Scholars think he was writing down the sins of the people in the crowd. His writing was pretty clear. John 8: 1-11

Hey there,
Not everyone knew how to write... only the "escribas" knew how to do it, the rest of the jews learned the Torah by memorizing it, this is an ancient tradition on jewish people.
I don´t think there is evidence about Jesus writing or not, but surely he learned the multiple techniques developed at this time.
What is this question about Ja? Are you making fun of it? Spelling and handwriting? jajaja.

The Bible says no teacher could teach him because he knew much more than they did and ridiculed them. He must have known how to write but who knows if his handwriting was any good?

As I recall, as a teenager he was said to read bits of the Torah and such, so I would assume he was literate (unless he memorized it); for what it's worth, that would also have been consistent with his religious inclination.

Don't know about his handwriting.

Well, he knew how to read since he learned the Torah and based his word on it, so I would asume he knew how to write. It's hard to say since he didn't live any written word, the gospels were transmited by oral tradition and written by someone else
